The last time we played against Westham was the day I became a Liverpool supporter. Back then I knew not much about football and just watched the game because someone I luv is a Liverpool supporter and someone I very much dislike is a Westham supporter. They said, replacing Jurgen was the impossible job. Arne Slot might just pull it off. The fella comes across as top drawer. Arne looks very comfortable in his own skin, intelligent, knowledgeable, and a straight talker. His confidence is not misplaced. When Arne came to Feyenoord there were few financial resources. Under his leadership the players of Feyenoord have developed higher and have become much more valuable which is why Feyenoord now has much more financial resources. His first year he was a finalist in the conference leque, his second year we became champions of the Netherlands and his third year we won the KNVB cup. The football was so much better to see from what we were used to and you saw that he had much more in him. I think Liverpool can be a good marriage with Arne.

That response about Trent and following Jurgen feels extremely genuine. Slot keeps his cards close, very business first, focusing on the job. But in that answer I hear an authentic warmness about how well he has been received from fans, players, and staff alike.
