I got goosebumps watching this video. Back in Syria, we used to watch the Champions League on big screens. Steven Gerrard is an absolute hero for many Syrians. That goal against Olympiacos and the night in Istanbul made many in my generation in Syria fall in love with Liverpool and Stevie G. I'm from the Middle East, I started supporting Liverpool in the days when Gerrard was the captain, I always loved the fighting spirit of the Reds and the atmosphere of the Anfield, but I can't hide it, I felt I belong more when Salah joined, I mean one of us is in my favorite team! still, I didn't expect him to do what he did for the last 6 years and to become himself one of the Reds' Legends. Stevie is always putting himself down in term of talent, but by God, he was a miracle player. So much flair in everything he did, i really think he is too hard on himself. For me, he is in the holy trinity of Pirlo, Xavi and Gerrard for midfield of my lifetime (1992-present) and there can be a debate of the order of the 3. I miss him every game Liverpool play, i keep imagining him under Kloppo. I mean after all both Totti and Zidane ( and many others) consider Stevie the best in the world at the time. What more do you need......
