In this series, Lives of the Sahaba, Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi discusses the lives of the noble companions, some of the greatest and most blessed human beings to ever live after the death of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him [S].
While not a comprehensive history of the Khulafa Ar-Rashidoon, this series will provide a summarized biography of the men and women considered to be the Sahaba (companions of the Prophet [s]), including the Mothers of the Believers (the wives of the Prophet).

The most enlightened approach to talk about Yazeed I have ever heard. Nobody has the license to be judgmental about others in this world. Everybody will be answerable for their actions and definitely Yazeed will be held accountable for everything that Happened under his power including the biggest catastrophy of Shahadah of Imam Hussain AS and humiliating of Ahl al Bait.

Allahu Akbar. Today Oh SHAYKH, you spoke the very truth again. No matter how great statesman & king Muayiya (r.a). There's no comparison with him with any of The Muhajirun or Ansar. No question to be compared with Abu Bakr (r.a), or Umar(r.a). or Ali Ibn Abi Talib (r.a.)

It possibly could be the place of his grave because the Byzantines used to also pay homage to the grave and were told its location by the Muslims before they left. Also for 700 years the Muslims knew its location because they always coming and going out side the city trying to conquer it .

what if this story is not authentic ?? like a lot of storie we can hear on youtube unfortunetly ? Don't forget, sirah, hadith is not perfect, only quran is :)

Ustad what you say about the Maqam is wrong. I really respect you too much. I would like to come US just to meet up you. But as Professional Tourist Guide in Turkey, your opinion about definite location of Abu Ayyub Al Ansari is wrong. Because it is not noor from the heart of Shaikh Akşemsettin but some other evidences. For example one of the shepherd said that, Whenever my animals come to this location where you indicate, my animals turn right or left but never step on this area. And they dig up that area and they met a tombstone which has a writing "Haza Maqam Halid Bin Zayd" and after they open the Maqam, They met with the body of Abu Ayyub Al Ansari Rahmatullahi Alayh. Thats why we say that's the exact location. You have right not to believe but unfortunately you are wrong :) Greeting from Istanbul
