The fence looks great and the 1 ft on the other side is good because now you can walk along the other side of your fence to clear anything growing thru the fence and still be on your property. I hope you have plans to electrify the livestock fence.
@Tiffanysfarm Жыл бұрын
Dad said the same thing about the 1 to 2 feet on the other side. I think the hostility towards the contractor from a neighbor initially annoyed me that I could not see the benefits of the spacing. I just think that anyone who comes to visit me for work or enjoyment should be off limits to harassment. And, yes, we have plans to electrify the livestock fence.

We were able to solve the issue with this neighbor but there is the issue with the back fence that we still need to resolve. The other guy’s fence is 230 feet x 10 feet fence within our property according to the survey.
@NadineLiberty-t8tАй бұрын
@Tiffanysfarm Oh no!! Still, with the amount of paperwork, you can't just pull them out since he isn't responding. And just move them. You're being way too nice here since you so have 2 surveys proving the encroachment and attempted numerous times to contact them. But i guess it would better go the legal route.

Remember - you have no control over what others do or say - but - you have total control of how you react to what others do and say - and - you both demonstrate courage, dignity, and forgiveness in your reaction to the tragedy of your neighbors behavior. Watching your videos is a great "how to" lesson for dealing with the foolishness of others. Stay strong and always use camera's and be proactive in protecting your rights.

My neighbors put me through hell, ten years of harrassment from people wanting to grow pot and stripmine. I outlasted them, but they tried to shoot me and\or intimidate me. Well, my father had a backhoe and helped me put in utilities etc, but he lived in town. They couldnt intimidate me, and I refused to leave, so I forced them to tunnel under my houses using electronic explodives to break up the coal. They drilled sideways to steal gas too. But i did not care. I just wanted the trees left alone. (I garden.) In Ky, the miners launder drug money thru little logging and mining companies. But I was a police reporter and didnt let drug people bluff me. It took ten years, but I fought off strip miners & drug dealers. I wondered where sll these people are walking? If you own a pond, they may be trying to get in there to get water to grow pot. This also happened in my case. It was a bad neighbor, but he lost his property and left. Nrighbors mean everything. I have good ones now!!!

Thank you for your comment. It is unfortunate that it came to such an expense, but I hope the new fence brings you the privacy and peace of mind you are looking for. Dad and I avoided labor costs by doing a DIY for the interior fence and the fence along the road frontage. The biggest cost is always the labor, which is unfortunately unavoidable when installing a fence that neighbors another property. I always let a contractor install near border properties to lessen conflict.

You can use the cut trees as a reinforced fence barrier. Erecting a fence around your property doesn’t have to be an expensive project. You can accomplish the same with a DIY fence constructed with tree branches. There are many fencing ideas, however, we will talk about the six most common ones, which include the following: Wattle Fencing Twig Lattice Fence Stacked Fence Bamboo Fences Jackleg Fence Rustic Pasture Fence The above-listed tree branch fence projects can be done with locally available materials and without expertise.

He replaced all my tools he had stolen from me! Plus he left all his tools to me and the prybars. You can even pry up little trees with a 5 ft prybar! That was a good gesture moving your fence back some. 😂 Dad was going to move the fence. He just fussed about it. He felt that the neighbors should mind their business and stop trying to police our property. Yes, the fence is nice. ❤️ A good contractor is hard to find. We were blessed to find a good contractor with a great crew. You are correct… the fence is placed 12 inches to 18 inches from the property line. When we need to spray the area around the fence with round up, then the neighbors should not have any complaints. Your contractor should have tied into the Black Fence. I bet the neighbor talked to your contractor and told them the black fence was on there property.
@Tiffanysfarm7 ай бұрын
My contractor said he threatened to run over the fence with a tractor if the fence wasn’t moved 3 more inches. Ultimately, the entire fence is 12 to 18 inches from the property line. I am satisfied with the compromise. But, this was his 2nd time interrupting work on my property.

ma’am do not accommodate those folks you bought that property you own a property that is your.I’m with Dad with that BS. ma’am, it is the principle do not lose an inch because once you give them an inch next thing you know they’re gonna be taking more from you so a good rule of thumb your survey say what you on that’s what you need to go by.

My fence is set at 12" to 18” off the property line to account for any variances as well as give me some room to run a weed trimmer on the outside perimeter or spray without killing any weeds or grass on my neighbor's side. The fence contractor encountered 2 difficult neighbors and 1 extremely threatening person who is not a neighbor during the fence installation. I was not present during the installation when these 3 men harassed the contractor. But, I am fine with the fence installed directly on my property instead of on the property line.

Our rich neighbor from the end of an adjacent private road tried to deny us electricity because they didn’t want non-rich people in their area. Maybe we lowered the tone with our smaller manufactured homes one street over… The streets are close though, being access roads. Right next to each other, but we are on the opposite side and they are at the end of their road on the cliff with a full sea view, & a high fence toward us. The transformer pole was next to their fence though, & it was a private road so they had to sign a waiver because the pole was old and the company was going to replace it as long as they were hooking us up & they would improve service at the same time. At no cost to any of us. The electric company wanted to do an easement for fire prevention 5 feet around the pole which would effect 2 1/2 feet of their fence, & put in a new poll & transformer for increased power output. That would mean their wires would be temporarily laying down as well. They screamed about their trees & bushes possibly being broken by the heavy wires and wouldn’t sign the paperwork ok’ing the improvements that were also holding up our connection. The company wouldn’t connect us to an old pole with lower capacity because it might blow the transformer, so we were blocked from moving in. We spoke to their next door neighbor who likes us and got them to agree to let the lines lay on their bare property during a change over so the rich peoples bushes wouldn’t be disturbed. The rich people still didn’t like it. They kept us out for a full year pretending they were going to sign and changing little bits of the wording on the document, waiting months to look it over fully, & then rejecting it over & over. Finally I contacted the business that hosted a transformer pole, past the far side of our property a little farther away and in the edge of their parking lot. Its an old strip mall that was built in the 1940s. The little old lady who owns it didn’t mind being given a free high capacity transformer pole that her business would benefit from (This is California we make the utilities & government work for the people.) We should have thought of asking her in the first place, we just didn’t know what our neighbor on the other side would put us through. The business lady signed the waiver last month. The electric company is paying the cost of two extra power poles as well to run the wire down the cross street to our access road where we are preparing to underground it to go up the side of the street, which we had to pay a contractor to do, and the state is going to send an inspector to make sure its all up to code before we bury the electrical trench. Everything we built had to have an inspector. And if you do a built house they inspect the quality of every step of the process. Manufactured homes are inspected at the factory, so we just had to have our utility lines & foundation inspected before the house was delivered. We’re going to put in a garage later and the county wants to see where we want to put it and sign off on that. 😂 But we are on a semi gentle slope. California is a hilly or mountainous region in most areas. So it makes sense. The state doesn’t want landslides and homes being lost. Its happening now in some areas where houses were built the old way with dirt added for the back of the house to rest on. That has eroded away on them and their house broke in half and slid down the hill. In the new system, we had to build fully in a cut out on our Mesa slope and build up dirt behind it. And have a retaining wall. And all that was inspected. But after all of it the joke is on our hateful neighbor because we are getting electricity anyway! AND the old lady business owner wants to hang out with my mother & her best friend. Her best friend moved in next to us and had to couch surf at our old house for a year through all of this with us, because no electric at her house either and she already sold her old place to buy the new bigger more rural property. We haven’t been able to sell our old place yet to pay off the mortgage & the last part we owe the contractor because we were held up with no electricity at the property. We could have sold the old house & bought an off grid solar package. We looked into it. In California its 60 thousand for enough panels for one house, and includes an electrical box to manage them and a single high capacity rechargeable battery to just run the fridge all night. The batteries are $14,000 minimum each. We were told we would need 3 to run whole house electric at night at standard electrical grid level. We really just wanted city electric.

We never told the rich people that we changed to another pole, so unless PG&E told them (which they weren’t inclined to unless asked what is going on) they probably think they are still blocking us. LOL! Oh, they pretty much ordered our other rich neighbor at the end of our street on the cliff, who is a bit less rich than them to “tell those new people to trim their pine tree” which is overhanging the rich peoples access road. We laughed when the neighbor told us they said to them “you have to talk to your new neighbors yourself now since its your road.” Of course we didn’t trim that tree for them. They have the right to trim it themselves anyway. We prefer that THEY pay someone to do that. But we won’t say so since we aren’t allowed to talk to their lordships. Thats what they get for treating us like peasants. They had this attitude the whole year like, “How dare you try to talk to us! Don’t come to our gate! You are inconveniencing US by moving in & needing on the electrical grid with everyone else! We don’t want full capacity upgrades to electricity we like our lights to flicker and the small transformer from the 60s to someday explode & burn down our lavish mansion because we are rich twits.” And now they need things from us? No. I can’t wait to say, “Oh, did you need something from me?” And just smile.

Hi. I paid for 2 land surveys to prevent any land disputes. My property has been properly assessed twice. I know where my property markers are located and I am aware of my rights as a property owner. Additionally, there is no getting along with anyone who threatens to use a vehicle as a weapon to do harm.

They didn't move the fence over for the neighbor. That's code. We can't even fence in our farm right on the property line. Our 1 fence had to come on 24ich from the guy who owns the land behind us. He'd have to come in the same if he put up a fence. By code you have to have a easement between properties. Just look up your county building codes. Poor dad. He's looks tired. The young folks should be moving that fence, not him.

Listed in order of increasing severity since the 6th century AD, the seven deadly sins are as follows: Lust. Gluttony. Greed. Sloth. Wrath. Envy. Pride. Looking at the world, I think that Greed, Wrath and Pride are the most deadly. Remembering the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector (Luke 18:9-14) - The teaching of Jesus - in paraphrase, of the parable : a Pharisee. and a tax collector went to the temple to pray. The Pharisee prayed about how good he was, but the tax collector asked for God's mercy as he was a sinner. Jesus said that it was the tax collector who went home justified before God. I always remind myself when ruminating on people such as your neighbours, "there, but for the grace of God, go I." A true understanding of this is what keeps me humble.
