Hi Sara. Question on the camera for pokeypoke. Does it just stick to the room bounds, or do you somehow further limit and lock sections in large rooms to fit the view?

hey put me on the list for live stream i want to ask questions. like is it my fault the code in the code i downloaded doesn't work. should i have a full game already. i do not have animations for the tutorial and i worried i will have to draw with a mouse. it is going to look like garbage and i just want to learn code so i build my game please.

You might want to watch mizizizi devlog of endoparasitic i recon the mechanic he uses for the hand is similar to that of getting over it, hope it give you the idea and math.

hello mr spaulding. i have a question. how come in the game that is the platformer tutorial you don't use a larger room with teleport instead of more room as it would seem to take up more space in ram with the new room formulas. You could use just teleport and probably save on hard drive space. also the tutorial files are they executable one by one. as i erased my doubling of the files i made and then put in just the end one to test the file and it works but my windows keeps coming up when i reach the end of the room and it like shows windows and then i have to reduce or close the screens.

Hello! Primarily because this is an unnecessary optimization, and what you might trivially gain in file size or whatever you'd lose in having to have every object instance across every level in your game active all at once. It is very convenient and efficient to destroy/create entities as you move between levels. For timing reasons, memory reasons, design and structure reasons, project layout reasons, camera movement reasons, etc. You obviously *could* still do it this way, and handle all of these different factors manually but it is needlessly more difficult to do so if the only gain you'd be seeing is a very trivial file size reduction. In fact that reduction would likely be outweighed by the work you'd do to accommodate for it.
