Well I've just signed up for the $1 on game pass to try the game b4 I buy. Got 2 weeks b4 I get charged $15 Australian for the monthly subscription. Have an RTX 3060Ti with 23 GB ram and a i10700.My internet is 50 mb/s so not that great .Just average. Expecting bug's but also hoping for some sort of working ability.If I'm not comfortable with in in the 2 weeks then I'll leave it till next year.Let it ride for 2 or 3 or months.See what happens.

You can select to use the 2020 keyboard bindings in the controls menu for keyboard in the loower left.

There's a problem with that though - many of the key bindings for the newer elements (career, etc) are not set in the 2020 key bindings.

TrackIR doesn’t work either but most things do. It even runs well on my low-medium spec pc.

Thank you for this awesome video. I have yet to purchase as I want to wait until we all have a stable experience without having to resort to VPNs. What is your opinion of the scenery of the default/stock airport scenery that you normally fly at in FS20 when compared to FS24? I know that taxiways and runways are improved, but what about buildings? Do you think there is much of an improvement there? Thank you.

I think for us true flight sim pilots. It will be faaantastic. More realism. Better realistic flight models and physics. But for the recent "gamers" that did not catch "the bug" of flight. Many will drop off, after crying for awhile of course.

Also an idea for a video (as if you need more to do) would be to "review" the planes and maybe airports included in all the upgrade packages. If they are of fairly low quality it may help people save money and buy add on aircraft instead

I wonder how many nord vpn subs have been set up in the last 48hrs?! I was told this might fix my issue of being stuck at 97%. 5.2 hours in game all on the loading screen. Im fairly patient so il just wait till its fixed. Paid for the aviators edition so dont fancy forking out more to play it

Would msfs 2024 require a minimum spec for the graphics card? Would GeForce RTX 4080 work? I’m hesitant to upgrade, I want to make sure the upgrade works with my current system (which I call a decent system)

Have you had a chance to fly any of the airliners? Yesterday I tried the A310, everything worked fine, and then after takeoff the fmc completely reset, all the data I had put in was deleted. Just curious if it anyone else had experienced that.

When I used to fly out of Booker Wycombe circuits off 24 were flown right hand pattern -- have things changed ?

I knew somebody would say that - that's why I mentioned that the mission pattern was completely wrong :) Wycombe is 230 degrees over the airfield edge, down to the hambledon valley, back across towards the golden balls, and then back in - at 1500ft, descending to 1000ft for turning onto finals :)

@@jonbeckett Sorry I didn`t hear you say this about the mission pattern. I did most of my PPL out of Booker and I remember the Golden ball very well !!!! The Hellfire Club where Starmageddon and Rachel Thieves have breakfast meetings probably. Angela Rayner does not attend these meetings because she spends all her spare time in Chav Girls Are Us Top Shop on the High Street !!!

Shift C swaps to outside the aircraft while on the ground. W A S D walk around. I J K L rotate (as does the mouse). You need to enable 3rd person in the general / advanced settings.

No idea I'm afraid - you're seeing it as I discover it in this video :) The 2020 key binds are probably more trouble than they're worth - because they don't have the keys for career mode interaction, etc.

@@jonbeckett good point. However some of these items seem to me like core functionality, especially ones that were in the previous sim that everyone took for granted and are now either bugged or changed just for the sake of change unnecessarily.

I waited till the next day .. Bought the sim , downloaded it ( no problems) ,installed it and took a couple of flights ,everything worked fine . Great. Im from Scotland but living in Germany

@@jonbeckett To be honest Jon with so many horror stories and my very limited knowledge of computers I am awaiting confirmation that it’s fixed cos stories of the download locking at 97% then having to reboot the computer if it does then planes missing and on and on and on. Just think they could have done it region by region. Seems such a poor performance from such a massive company. Keep up all your great work Jon and thanks.
