So far i've had no success using the USBC to Lighting SC19 Cable for any recording or sending audio from the RodeCaster INTO the iPhone. I have use the headphone out to try to force a connection, by using a dongle and a TRS to TRRS adapter, but that has a ton of line noise. Any clue if there is a way to force the 2 way connection with an iPhone

Sadly this has been a common experience for a lot of people. The solution has been the TRRS adapter as you have done it, and yes...NOISE... Have you chatted with Rode support about it?

Hello 👋, you mentioned sc 18 or 19 special cable for iphone connectivity, there all super long, but I found a short cable that’s SC 21, do you know what the differences are? Can I use it for phone calls?

You can't pull power from the RCP2 but you could get a dongle that'll let you connect your phone with one part and connect to power with the other.

I purchased the adapter for my iPhone 12 Pro Max that is lightning to double lightning so I can charge and have the phone hard wired to the RCP2. It is not working on the RCP2 connection. when I am livestreaming the phone is still picking up from its own mic so when I am playing music and talking no one hears it. Which adapter should I be using?

So, I’m trying to record videos with my iPhone using the Rodecaster Pro 2 as the audio source. I’m able to record the audio with phone, but I can’t get the effects with it. (No reverb, echo, etc.). I’m doing it over Bluetooth, while the Rode adapter comes in the mail. Is the adapter required to get vocal affects to iPhone, or am I just doing something wrong?

The RCP2 is built to use with a computer, so you'll need to bring the phone into the computer where you have your streaming/recording software set up.

My question is this, if the rodecaster duo is connected to an s23 ultra and I record using the cell phone camera, can I use a rode podmic so that the audio has that quality? And if so, what configuration should I follow because the website only talks about iPhone

I don't have the S23, so I can't say with 100% confidence, but I don't believe the RCP2 will send an audio signal to the S23 simply because you would need software drivers to make that happen. You would have to use some sort of intermediary solution that can send the signal from the RCP2 to an adapter that is connected to the S23.

I want to use my S24 Ultra as my camera to shoot youtube videos but utilise audio coming from my Rodecaster Duo. Can I connect the S24 Ultra to the RC Duo via USB C and will the audio coming from the RC Duo get recorded in my video from the S24 Ultra?

I don't have the S24, so I can't say with 100% confidence, but I don't believe the RCP2 will send an audio signal to the S24 simply because you would need software drivers to make that happen. You'd likely have to record your video on the S24 and add a music track in post-edit.

When i connect my Samsung Note 9 to the Rodecaster Pro II via USB-C, the music (and any media) being played on my phone is able to pass through the Rodecaster, so i can hear the media through my connected headphones. However, phone calls don't go through the Rodecaster; I can't hear the caller and the caller can neither hear me nor any sound effects i press on the Rodecaster, though i have the mic fader up and headphone volume is up too. Any solution to that please?

Hello. I have a question if you can help me. I use RCP2 for online radio station and i want use phone calls from usb-c, i have sound in rodecaster from any platform, youtube etc, but when i recive a phone call i have no sound for this, why ?

Some folks have experienced the same problem as you when connecting an iPhone (due to iOS security). The solution that seems to work best is by connecting your iPhone via Bluetooth for 2 way phone call audio.

So i got the Rodecaster Duo and connected my S23 Ultra with the supplied cable to USB2 in the back of the unit. I have my Macbook Pro connected to USB1 and Chat in audio settings, and i also tried the main multitrack. My Shure dynamic mic is in channel 1 and followed you thru the wizard set up. Everything works but when i talk thru the microphone my callers can't hear me, but i can hear them. All of my faders are up. The signals are coming thru all the channels. The input and output meters are good, but the only thing is that my callers can't hear me on a regular phone call. Why? When I switched it to Bluetooth, they can hear me but the audio quality is very poor, comes in and out very faintly. Can someone help me please!!!!

You can just use Bluetooth between your iPhone and the RCP2 to use the iPhone audio as background music. You don't need to plug in the USB cable.

Everything works fine for me using the supplied usb c cable to my note 20 ultra. But as soon as i connect to somebody's fb live, the audio disconnects . As if its not connected to rcp2. Any solution??

I am trying to connect a ps5 via usbc to my RC Pro 2 but I get an on and off feedback noice that distorts the sound. Any ideas? I have tried 2 3rd party USBC cables and both do the same.

It's not the usbc cable that's the problem .what I have done is used a wired headset directly into the ps5 controller and set the output device set to the controller and the input device to the rodecaster and that help me

No, it doesn't, but you can get a dongle that will let you do both of those at the same time.

Depending on your setup, that can be done, but you'll probably want to do that from your comptuer, not the RCP2.

It doesn't work on USB 1, it needs to be 2. Still, then it does only record the sound from the mobile into rodecaster, but not the sound from rode into phone

The biggest downside right now is the inability to charge your phone once plugged into the rodecaster.

What u say is wrong. There is no possibility to get a caller from the iPhone with a cable into the RCP2. Rode says it on its site. It's due to the iOS of the iPhone. Perhaps the 15 comes natively with an usb c port. Perhaps that will work.

@@LiveStreamingPros did u try it and was successful? I suggest no. It's an iOS-thing. We talk about phonecalls, not about music transfer. Look at the rode-site, there they write a phone-call via cable is not possible cause of the iOS-restrictions.

@@mathiassiebert1217 It works on apps like Skype, and Zoom. Due to Apple imposed limitations, you cannot use this method for normal calls. Android devices have no such limitations.
