I am using my Yeti X with RP2 in the exact same way (powered via an external USB charger) and it works like a charm! Since YetiX is a stereo capable mic, I built my own cable which takes the stereo signal from the headphones jack (stereo trs) of the mic and then I feed it into RP2's inputs 2 & 3 via two mono TRS jacks (L + R). Then I configured RP2 so that mic inputs 2 & 3 are joint and controlled simultaneously by a single fader on the RP2. It is a great solution!

Hello! Does anyone know if instead of 1/4"-1/8" you can use 1/8"-XLR for connecting the headphone port to the rodecaster? This video was so helpful, thank you!

Tried this today and sadly doesn't work. Getting white noise from Rodecaster Pro 2

Question: I'm trying to connect the blue yeti and astro a40 mixamp but I am experiencing a hissing noise in the background. This is the rodecaster duo btw, not much different than the pro 2 but I have a 3.5mm to 6.35mm cable running from the yeti to the duo and a 3.5mm cable on both ends with a 6.35mm adapter connected from the mixamp to the duo as well. Any ideas as to why I might be experiencing this issue, what I can do to resolve this and if a ground loop isolator would help ? Thanks

Thank You, it work well when I'm using Movavi Recording, but when I use OBS, whenever I talk there is a eeee sound, like digital interference. I'd make sure the recording was set to Rode Caster studio and removed previous mic setup, muted webcam, I just couldn't figure what went wrong. Could anyone share some potential setting I might have overlooked

Is it possible to connect the Akai MPK Mini to the Rodecaster Pro 2?

Hi, I need some help. I'm trying to use my Blue Yeti with the Rodecaster Pro 2. My mic is not picking up my voice or any other sound at all. I've plugged it into the Rodecaster for power (LED lights up). I've plugged in a TRS cable from the Blue Yeti to the Rodecaster. I've set the settings according to the video. I've tried different gain, input dB, headphone volumes, but nothing. Help?

Hey Jordan, love the content that u make. Is their a way to add more ports on the Rodecaster pro 2? I have the Rodecaster pro 2 and i try to figure out how to add two more condenser mic. I don't know the pro and cons using a splitter. thank u.
@kettnercreative2 жыл бұрын
So you want 6 condenser microphones total? Interesting question. I wouldn't recommend an xlr splitter because it would split the phantom power voltage AND you wouldn't have control over separate mics. I need to think about a clever way to do this.
@Beas-Channels2 жыл бұрын
@@kettnercreative yes 6 condenser microphones in total. Thank u for that info. Cant wait to see what cleaver way u come up with.😁

@@Beas-Channels plug a mixer into the RCP. I did something similar with my former goxlr and my zoom h6 by plugging the h6 line out into a line in port. Side note, if you get noise on a headphone line, a loop back device can clean that up. It's only like 15 bucks. I'm pretty sure I got the idea from this channel a while ago
