@@AlexDeLarge1 That's on purpose for his 'persona'. He's supposed to be strange. Also @CheapSkateGamer96 His 'persona' and himself weren't mentally ill and they weren't from Iowa. He was just a lonely man and became strange to not feel lonely. It might sound strange, but it was the 60s!

Pay attention to the different forms of the main melody from the vocalists, fiddle, saxophone, band. Perfectly encapsulates late 1920s style. 0:10 muted Trumpets 0:20 violin/fiddle in a harmonized version 0:30 saxophones play the minor run aka pillar 2 0:41 back to fiddle 0:52 back to vocalists Saxophones usually play a mood piece, since they were known for their ghostly timbre and it's a truly beautiful thing. There's a gorgeous piece from 1915 that knocked my socks off with the solo.

Currently in the middle of listening to Everywhere at the End of Time for the first time, so this is definitely a big change in tone from that, in a good way. I like listening to music from this era. He may be long gone, but Bowlly can still invoke a wide range of emotions in us. The Caretaker (James Leyland Kirby) himself has said that had Bowlly not died in the war, he may have become bigger than Bing Crosby. As it is, it's sad to think that he died so relatively young in the Blitz, and was buried in a mass grave with other bombing victims too. I'm glad that even nearly a century on, he still resonates with audiences.
