I started watching your videos back in 2021 when I was planning to move to Amsterdam and needed information on how to find a place etc. Thanks to you, I’ve also decided to rent in de Pijp and can’t agree more…best neighborhood! Your videos were always bringing me comfort as it felt I have this virtual friend in AMS that goes through the same experiences. I’ve even sent you an instagram message to see if you’d be up to meet for a coffee but then after couple of days delete it (chickened out 😅) When you’ve stopped posting I start rewatching the old videos, I think because it was reminding me of my first year in NL when I started to discover new places, people, create new memories. Also, wanted to say that I totally get what you’re saying about Dutch people being more relaxed and putting happiness over success. I’m also coming from a third country and grew up with the idea to be the best and “someone” (and the definition for that would be prestigious job in a big company and have everything figured it out by mid 20s). While Dutch people value their happiness and mental health; they are more open to change career path, learn smth new because they grew up in a society that supports that, rather than judge.
