Congratulations on lodging your French nationality paperwork! I lodged my Croatian nationality paperwork this week too, and can relate to the months of paperwork preparation. It’s a very emotional milestone for me, as it was a dream I hatched with my Dad, who passed away suddenly during COVID. I have felt his presence very strongly around me this week. In addition to the palace parties you could do totally random on the spot "have dinner with me" zoom's. I think that would be nice, you could do it like an hour or a day in advance so then everyone has time to put food together and it would likely be smaller groups and anyone who comes like had to be sitting down and eating dinner. In my opinion having food together is a time for bonding... I dont know if its just the Italian in my but when you sit down and eat with someone I feel like thats "home" and thats one of the few times you can really be authentic and vulnerable with someone. Its actually one of the reasons why I never go on dinner dates lol that shit too deep.... My ideal best friend: In a way I already had her. We knew every twitch of eachother eyebrow/facial expressions, we were 100% telepathic with eachother, we would ALWAYS laugh so hard we pissed ourselves. We were 2 halves of a whole, like the Greek myth about humans being born as pairs, in the end Zues definitely split us. After 15 years of friendship things got really rocky in the end... I end up changing and wanting more and she did not like change. She fell in love with my ex and that was kind of the breaking point. But I loved her more than anyone and I would have died for her. I tried to stay the same for a couple years but I ended up even more miserable than I was to start with. I found it funny you said "gassing up" because that was me in the friendship and I always wanted someone to do the same for me. My ideal best friend would take whatever I said and as long as it was good/neutral for me she would hype me up and back me 100%. I want someone that has passions and interests even if we dont have everything in common I want to have someone that I can push farther. Someone that will call me/snapchat me at random when they're picking out glasses or shoes. Someone that will call me at 3am to ask me if they should dye their hair and give themselves bangs even though they always hate them on themselves. My ideal best friend is someone who never says "hi/bye", its just one long endless conversation until we die. With gaps of radio silence when we're deep in our projects/work/creating. I want someone who talks "nonsense" to me like "holy shit... this color combinations is giving me Nightclub in Prague vibes." or "dude.... this sunset is making me feel like Burberry Her perfume, dark chocolate, and iridescent glitter vibes". My ideal best friend tells me everything and I tell them everything. When something happens we're always the first to call eachother. When something just isnt right we're the first to say so and its always received well on the other end because we have an unbreakable bond. We have names for eachother and make pinterest moodboards that remind us of eachother. We plan trips together, travel together, go on spiritual get-aways to air b'n'bs in random rural locations. We make art together, we study together, we get better together. We're always pushing one anothers self actualization. We care, we know eachother better than we know ourselves. We can go 5 days without talking then skype like no time went by at all. We mail eachother random shit that we saw at the store and it made us think of eachother. My pets(aka my CHILDREN) call her "aunt ___" and vice versa lol. We sit in silence together for hours just doing our own thing. We flow together, move together, and think together like one entity and yet there is no co-dependence, no suffocation, no expectations. We're just the perfect duo, in every one of eachothers past lives and will be in every one of the lifetimes to come. Any differences or disagreements with one another is met with acceptance, laughs, and total unconditional love. Honestly they'd probably be a fire or air sign lol... My old best friend was an Aquarius, it was her birthday yesterday. I still think of it as her birthday instead of Valentines day. I always spent the entire day/night with her. But Im ready to celebrate someone elses birthday, someone who's ready to take a complete leap of faith. I could go on forever but anything else that I could say would likely sound like jibberish. I know this bond exists but there aren't many people out there willing to find it. Willing to make those 1 minute calls for eachothers opinion on which coffee they should buy or which book looks better. Willing to call in the beginning when they're breaking down, making that first step to be vulnerable with eachother and build that foundation. Not many people are willing to let that bond in to their already busy life because they think its unlikely to happen, maybe they aren't sure who to take a chance on. Not many people are willing to be that comfortable with someone because it feels too raw, or it feels too late as if they're too old, or it feels like there just couldn't possibly be room in their life for something like that. A lot of people dont want to "retell their lifes story" I know I didn't, but then I realized that someone who actually cares will piece it all together along the way and listen during those random times when the past starts spilling our of you like air out of a slashed tire. Some people find it hard to put down their phone or work to look at their contacts and think about who they truly feel love and support from. Some people find it hard to keep contact because everything else seems more important and "how could I possibly do my work while they do their own thing? how could we possibly exist in the same space? Who would want to do that with me? Isnt that boring". There are so many reasons why people are missing their match, their best friend. All I know is we definitely don't have just one so if anything above resonates with anyone feel free to take a chance and reply to this comment! Also Im so sad I missed the Fairy Palace Party!!! since I moved I had to stop my patreon for a while, of course I miss the one that includes dressing up in glitter lol DAMNIT. Hopefully I can come back soon

This is a beautiful comment! I have a best friend who I grew up with. She lives in a different state with her husband now but whenever we meet up it feels like no time has passed. I wish I could see her more often and I feel bad for not staying in better contact with her. But she always feels like home to me and I'm certain we've shared many past lives together. I have always wished that she could be my mom actually, haha. I love your description of what a best friend is to you. I also want someone in my life who I can call at any time to get their opinion and share with. I do have my sibling, but it's not quite the same energy as a best friend. I have always thought of myself as the angel of chaos. I have tried to get into structure and rutines and such, but I'm just not good at it. I am starting to accept that I feel at home in disorder. I have the PERFECT besties. A couple years ago I had a couple of friends in my circle who were toxic. It’s a very long story but because of them, I started getting a ton of anxiety around the time of my birthday, and anytime my birthday would come around I would overthink whether or not my friends actually liked me or cared about me the same way I cared about them. Those toxic friends are LONG gone now thank goodness, but even after those friendships ended I had lots of self doubt. This year for my 18th birthday, I started feeling that way again and second guessing my friendships. Because of all this worrying I wasn’t having the best birthday, which was sad. But it was about to turn into the best birthday of my life because of my friends. Little did I know, my friends and family had all planned a SURPRISE PARTY for me!! I walked into this restaurant and heard people cheering and screaming my name!! In that moment when I saw all my friends at the table with gifts for me and telling me how much they loved me, I burst into tears. It was something that I had been overthinking for so long, but now that feeling was gone. I was crying tears of joy, but also crying because I felt so bad that I had been overthinking so many of my friendships. Those two toxic girls traumatized me in a way I never really noticed until that day, and because of the fear they put into my heart I was sometimes blind to the love that surrounds me everyday. but now all that pent up fear is released. I know now that I’m surrounded by people who love and adore me just as much as I love them and I’m so grateful. I am the luckiest girl in the world!! That’s an affirmation I use, and I use it much more now ever since that night. I may have my struggles, but I am so blessed. And I will never ever forget that amazing night because it was a night that changed my life. :)
