ich habe tatsächlich gar nichts mit der ganzen sache zu tun, zumindest wenn man das ganze offiziell rechtlich betrachtet. ich bin nämlich kein züchter und habe nichts mit der zucht zu tun. ich bin ein guardian, weshalb mir bailey offiziell nicht mal gehört. ich habe mich damals dazu entschieden, das zu machen, nachdem ich mich in bailey bereits hoffnungslos verliebt hatte. mein ziel ist es, ihr das beste leben auf dieser welt zu geben und zu ermöglichen. ihre zucht ist eine sehr verantwortungsvolle zucht. vermutlich ist das der einzige wurf, den bailey jemals haben wird. für das tierwohl meines hundes ist das einmalige werfen nicht unbedingt ein großer einwand. ein exzessives “overbreeding” wäre es dagegen schon. ich habe während der schwangerschaft mein leben quasi meinem hund gewidmet, war 24/7 an ihrer seite, war quasi die helikoptermutter in der tierversion. wenn es um das tierwohl und das dilemma der überfüllten tierheime geht, dann verstehe ich den einwand natürlich. ich finde es großartig, wenn leute in der lage sind, tiere zu adoptieren, anstatt sie zu kaufen. ich bin mir aber auch durchaus bewusst, dass das leider nicht jeder kann. ich habe aber auch deswegen niemals dafür geworben oder gar dafür gesprochen, hunde zu kaufen. am ende des tages soll jeder selber entscheiden, wie er oder sie vorgehen soll. ich finde es immer wieder schade, wie leute im internet sich echauffieren, wenn sie nicht die ganze geschichte kennen. ich kann verstehen, wenn man nicht mit allen dingen einverstanden ist. ich kann auch die kritik an der hundezucht verstehen. vielleicht kann man aber sowas in zukunft auch anders ausdrücken.

look, i am not a breeder. i am not somebody who decided on a whim to just “breed their dog” and went with it. i am a guardian. hold me responsible for this, it’s okay, and it’s okay to be against dog breeding. i do not advertise buying dogs when you have the capacity and abilities to adopt. however i do think everyone should make that decision for themselves. the same way how everybody should consider if they actually should get a dog in the first place.

getting my dog pregnant makes it sound as if i would have just decided to impregnate her on a random sunny day and went along with it. i am fine with you being against dog breeding, i get that very much. but what i do not want is the misinformation or assumption that this was careless, unethical breeding. it wasn’t. i, however, am not the breeder. i said it before, bailey officially isn’t even my dog. if you are against breeding, i respect that.
