@@babydoll774 Ur welcome and thanks for your kind reply. Ur on the right path. It will be ok. U already inspired me today. What i try to get in the habit of is right after i wake up i say reasons to be thankful, and try to be positive, then, compartmentalize thoughts, like what i cant do anything about at least not for the moment, so i tell myself i wont allow myself to worry about it. Then i think of what i can do something about, break down into small steps then even smaller steps in my mind and go thru it in my mind first then start to go about it, positively and trying to be patient along the way. and in long term goals, celebrating the smaller steps, the smaller milestones, and trying to stay on the bright side, trying to not be overwhelmed. Journaling, music therapy, checking out funny movies or shows, making time to relax with friends are good, too. Also, remembering this life is only temporary helps, too. Someday, we will have a permanent home in heaven with unimaginable joy and peace. Then we wont even remember the pain in this life but we have the eternal treasure from enduring it. Its all worth it. Despite her tough journey, she’s still the most compassionate, hardworking, resilient, loyal, and strongest women I know. We don’t have our parents so all of the stuff she goes through is 10x harder. I look up to her and admire for her strength and for the life she’s made for her and her baby! She’s been trying to get back into her faith but she finds it’s not easy. Any advice? I want to gift her your journal
@zmartieq Жыл бұрын
My advice from a religious cult exit and religious abuse survivor’s point of view is to encourage her to do only as much as she is comfortable with. And maybe that’s just acknowledging that God exists for awhile. And then it might be hearing a prayer or praying a small prayer like, Thank you, Jesus. Or maybe it’s hard to acknowledge the Father and the Son simultaneously atm and it’s just acknowledging and thanking the Father or the Son singly and giving herself grace for her current views. That way, she’ll feel safe in every step of her journey ❤.

Watching this made me feel so happy. My boyfriend just left to his military trying for 3 months and I’m alone with my 6 month alone for the first time and it’s been crazy but exciting. Love your videos Jess!

My husband is a consultant and works out of town 4 days a week. My son will be 5 months, soon. My dad was active duty military my whole childhood and I watched my mom do it alone. It is so challenging, but I am so thankful that my husband works, which allows me to stay home with our son. You did so well! It can be lonely not talking to anyone in person. I've made a mom friend nearby and we try and walk outside together 1x a week.

Girl, your free time seems so chill,good for you! My days stressful all around the clock,and ist's very hard to care for a child alone,hats off to single moms!. I hardly find time for myself. I'm not a single mom, but feel like it because my man is out to work at around 7am and comes home at around 7pm, when it is bed time, so he sees our babe for from 5-30 minutes,depending on a day,and that's it! I found help for 2 hours 2 times a week, and it helps with with my sanity, and freed up little bit of time for editing my videos.Going to post the delivery vlog soon,so excited!😊 You r such a chill soul,stay this way. Greets, from Portugal 😘

I’m a military spouse and we are going through our first deployment. Although we don’t have any babies yet, we do have 2 pups that keep me pretty busy. You’re such a good mama, Jess!

I could literally watch your vlogs all day (also gabriel's). Watching your vlog gives me so much peace and comfort and it also motivates me to be productive throughout the day and do my things done. I have PCOS and seeing you eat and make healthy foods pushes me to eat healthy foods as well and work out for my well being. You really are a role model to me and I look up to you so much! Thank you for being you! Xx

Hi Jess. I’ve been watching yours and Gabe’s vlogs for a few years now and you guys are amazing. You both are inspiring and your videos give me a sense of calm. My husband is in the military and currently deployed. I’ve been taking care of my almost 8 month old daughter. It has been difficult sometimes for me to be by myself with my daughter but I’ve doing okay so far and she and I have been loving the time we spend. I want you to know that if though you were with your little one for a few days that you did an amazing job and you are an amazing mom and God blessed with a sweet daughter who loves you. I hope you enjoy your day and week! God bless you and your family!🤍

I can relate to what you said. When I watch something negative or a series/movie with a bad mood, I start to feel the way the characters feel. So, a negative vibe in a movie or series is not for me.

Single mum of a 3 week old daughter and a 2 year old son. I felt everything you were saying, currently we are living with family and don’t have our own home. Most days are soo hard! But I wouldn’t change it for the world because my babies are the light in all of the darkness trying to consume me. They keep me grounded and help me stay happy ❤

My husband has been away at training since December and we had our newest baby girl January 14th of this year, and he won’t been done till April. It’s just been myself, a new born, and our 3 year old. It’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through but I’m also SO proud of myself. It’s amazing the things you think you can’t do until you have to.

I've been a military spouse for 10 years, and this year, my husband's schedule has changed to overnight shifts, which leaves me to parent our 3 kids about 80% of the time by myself. It's definitely a challenge when you don't have the support you're used to when your spouse is there. Also, I truly appreciate your little shout-out to single and military parents. That's so sweet you would think of us!

I've been doing it all on my own since I fell pregnant (babies father chose to leave). My son turned 2 on Valentines day. It's been the most challenging 2 years but im so greatful for my little boy. 🥰

I have a friend who is currently being a single mom because her husband is in rehab for a year. And it’s definitely been challenging since she was a stay at home wife and relied on her husband for financial support. So, seeing her get through this has been so encouraging and really makes me appreciate single moms even more than I already appreciate them. So, thank for supporting single moms and single parents. ❤

Not a single parent but my fiancee is a paramedic so I do go through days where he’s out of the house and it is so hard but also makes it that much better when he gets back from work ❤️

I highly recommend the second season over the first so I encourage you to continue watching! I agree that the first season was okay, nothing spectacular, but still interesting enough to keep going. However, the second season is an absolute masterpiece.

Military wife here with a husband who leaves monthly for a week at a time lol. It really does suck when they leave but also it does make you feel like a superhuman being able to do it all alone! I always appreciate single moms everytime he leaves. At Least it's not all the time!
