I appreciate the emphasis on artistry and not just technique!

You should thank their rector Nikolai Tsiskaridze whose emphasis as a dancer was always on artistry, he was an amazing, expressive, graceful dancer. That is why he was always my favorite dancer

SUPER! 👍 Thank you Nikolai for translating from Russian to English! As Vaganova is my second home on youtube, Russian language is very hard for me! With your brilliant talent in training these students, it’s a double pleasure seeing them fine tuned to the Classical ballet career! I’ve never seen one at VBA that was NOT beautiful and talented to become a professional Ballerina upon graduation! Your teachers are one- hundred percent on target as well! Thanks a million times for making these wonderful video’s possible! Peter.

Bravo Nikolai, you are doing an amazing job as a rector and teacher focusing on artistry as much as technique. That is why you were always my favorite dancer and my inspiration.

Oh, it's so beautiful! I applauded during the credits. What a wonderful clip, showing the dedication of students and teachers. Even the Vaganova Academy dances Balanchine. How amazing! How times change.

Why?

Yoko Kaab it's jst one of the haters that is probably paid to bash him for telling the truth about corruption at Bolshoi when he danced there. This moron goes everywhere where he/she sees the name of this wonderful man and does the same thing, no reason ever given. And these haters / bashers will never answer to give a concrete reason.

@@BytomGirl Thanks for your answer! I had no idea about this and I just want to know more about him. He has done great work at the Vaganova Academy

It's extremely long story but what I can tell you, he is amazing man.. very educated (3 masters degrees including law), knowledgeable about all arts and literature, extremely intelligent, has a truly brilliant mind, is a gentleman and a gentle, sensitive person bt also a fighter and a rebel against arrogance. He was incredible dancer, the best I know, graceful, noble, poised, light, expressive, elegant.
