I have to agree that if they were gold spoon recipients there is little chance they'd likely be caught in an old boat or especially doing their own maintenance and mechanical work. I'm jealous would love to travel around by boat but rather than a cruiser I want to go with a sailing yacht to knock off the fuel price. It's beginning to look like I'll never have the chance thanks to ill health so most definitely jealous.

Watch for the sandbars around the GA ICW. They are everywhere. Keep a good eye on the depth finder. Especially around Ossabaw sound. I've lived and fished GA all my life. You two are a great team. Never seen a woman so patient. Living the dream for sure.

You guys are great and very down to earth! It's obvious that the both of you aren't afraid of a little blood sweat and tears. You don't come across as "silver spoons" in the least bit. I can think of a couple other trawler channels, one in particular, where you know the whole fam is floating under the protection of daddy warbucks. Hi! Something just dawned on me while watching your viddy. My hubby died 2 months ago and it has made me realize a LOT of things, which is why I feel like telling you guys something. Even the bad days you have like the breakdowns etc ... you are having them/tackling them TOGETHER. These are what you will look back on and laugh about over time - these are your good old days. Good days bad days boring days exciting days, as long as you are together for them, they all roll up into being a great life together. Shew, that is hard to explain! Have fun!

I grew up on LI too and was a lifeguard,. Dad always had a boat and would drop me on my surfboard in front of my cousin's house in Long Beach . . . we'd surf all day while dad fished and he'd pick me up before sunset and we'd take the beautiful ride home with the spray in our faces and the sunset at our backs into Jone's Beach Inlet. Best days of my life!!(back in the 70's-80's) Your channel is giving me hope that I've got another chapter left in my life on the water here in Ft. Lauderdale!! You are a rarity Billy and you can be proud of it. Too many guys your age have neither the motivation or the ability to live aboard where mechanical problem solving is a frequent reality. It is those types of inept people who incorrectly assume that you must have a trust fund. That's how they are used to solving their problems. A better man lay's down sweat and skin to solve problems. Too many people today know only how to use their cell phone and open their wallet. Cruise on and leave them in your wake!

We have Barbie"Longhair terrier" and Purdita"Dalmation" and they are boat dogs too. We had a lake home in Del Rio Texas on Lake Amistad at Rough Canyon for years and we had a 1980 Sea Ray SRV 360 Sundancer with two 3208 Caterpillar diesels and westerbeke 4,000 wat generator, that was one hell of a boat, it was tope of the line loaded with the best of everything, i miss that thing

I say just put a window unit or RV air conditioner in,or one of those potsble one where you put the exhaust duct out a window or use one of the through hull vents like a bilge blower uses, marine ac systems are very complex to install if space is tight and everything with the word "marine" in it is very expensive they make portable A/C units for boats that fit in a hatch and a 2500 watt generator or large inverter can run one easilly

I was pretty sure you wouldn't be fixing your own boat if you had a trust fund bank account. It helps to be mechanically inclined when owning a boat as it saves a lot of money! Fort Clinch is a very neat place to visit and has a beach with some consistently great waves to surf. Glad it all worked out with the boat!
