Genetics will play major role in how others treat u, and shape u as a person growing up. The ugly/short kids will get mistreated, disrespected, and bullied by their peers, and carry that resentment into their adulthood. Which makes it difficult to have a positive, fun mentality when interacting with strangers, because subconsciously u are thinking is this person judging me and they probably don't like me anyways.

a lot of it is just social skills/time. im 6'2, always been athletic and into sports, i was always in the popular groups in school and did well with girls, i was in these groups because i was blessed athletically. in grade 10 i destroyed my shoulder (labrum) and had to take a year off, then covid came lost my entire friendgroup and circle in a year and got fat, had 0 female prospects, got very quiet and depressed and it just made my lack of a social circle even worse. if you can just ingrain yourself into a healthy social outgoing group (sports club probably) you will have way more access to women. im a tall guy, im fit now, im decent socially, but i have no friend group, ive tried cold approaching with no success, havent tried the apps (not going to) looks dont matter as much as community, its kind of hard to find good community though.

Mannerisms and personality being genetically determined is hugely underrated in the bl*ckpill sphere. as the saying goes: "Two things can be true" : the OP could be coping but what they are saying can also map to reality quite well - good looking guys can act weird and the vibe throws women off. Forget autism, imagine a solid 9 guy being on a drug that makes him twitchy and paranoid, do you think a good looking normie chick would go for him? theres a tendency to assume psych methods for coping as motive for every man's post, unless you doxx and do a background check you cant even make an educated guess, unless you can read minds there is no way to know

Love is not attraction tho. Attraction gets your attention and and starts of the prospect of relationships but at the end of the day love is a choice. I’m an 18 yr old dude and who’s had a stable relationship with a girl for about a year now and it’s tough not gonna lie. For a lustful dude like me I find it difficult when more attractive women come my way but I stave it off, because at the end of the day they might be attractive but they’d never treat me the way my gf does and I can’t and won’t let my worm ruin something like this. It’s a choice to stay with that person despite their flaws and despite your own. Find someone you can be honest with, someone who’s forgiving and honest with you too. Find someone who wants the best for you because at the end of the day that’s what you want for yourself too.

I think this all comes down to who can be an optimist despite living in a world of pessimists and pessimistic evidence. That one change can get people pretty far I think, even without things like looks-maxing, working out, or learning skills (though these things make it FAR easier to be hopeful, confident, and optimistic). Simply being positive about how things will turn out and how you will be treated, despite the evidence, despite past experiences, and despite what you have bee told. Its really hard though, and I can understand how so many people don't make it to that point. We need to channel that indomitable human spirit, that unshakable hope, that people keep talking about, despite how dark things are. Its like how bravery works, you feel scared, but you do it anyways, and one day you don't feel that fear anymore. You feel like nothing will work out, but you act and speak as if they will, and hopefully one day you will believe it.

@wreday720
@wreday720 Жыл бұрын
@@DumplingDoodle Thats not what im saying. We dont live in a meritocracy and being "smart" doesnt mean success. No matter the quality of the book or anywork you do, people often have to like you first to do business with you, or in this example publish your book. Do you know how many people try to get books published and claim its the best thing ever? The publishing companies have to be cut throat so they dont waste their time and money, and so you need every advantage possible to convince them. Introverts are already at a disadvantage since usually they dont have the people skills or the charisma needed for connecting with people, they most likely dont have the networking skills and connections that help people get their foot in the door in these scenarios since that socialisation isnt in their nature, and on top of that being "attractive" has been shown to be a very important factor in convincing people to do things or getting them to like you, which is unfortunate but its the truth (not saying introverts are ugly lol, just that its more prevalent in people who arent conventionally attractive). Not saying you should let this stop you by the way, just something to keep in mind, because this is FAR from the only factor that influences the opportunities a person receives, its just an important one. But i fully agree, the internet makes it much bigger issue than it actually is in real life
@wreday720
@wreday720 Жыл бұрын
@@DumplingDoodle bro im agreeing with you, i've been there too, its not the only thing that determines things, I've had my failures and my successes and done my personal work to see that. I cant remember, since its been a while, but I think the point I was making was that the original poster blamed the internet for this guy's failures. But clearly, it goes deeper than that and he has ALOT of personal issues that are holding him back too, and he'd still have them even if we didnt have the internet. I dont mean to come off nihlistic, maybe my comment reads that way, but I'm pointing out that in many ways we have so much at our disposal right now to become better and things weren't significantly "easier" back in the day. Just coming offline isnt going to solve all their problems, but people usually boil it down to just that (hence social skills, networking etc.) People blame the "times we live in" but, as you say, its up to the person to do something about it. Hope that makes sense, glad you managed to turn things around too, respect for saying that

I noticed one day goddamn i'm just striking up conversations with strangers now wow this is really fucking enjoyable. I get my experience could be different to an ugly guy but really it's not. Once you stop caring so much about certain aspects of life, it gets easier. I don't mean that in a nihilistic doomer mentality kinda way, but rather that some people hyperfixate on that which society has outlined as a 'necessary' or 'normal' part of living a fulfilling life. Find the courage and strength to change that which can be changed in your life, and learn to accept that which cannot. If you remain fixated on that which you have no control over [like your looks to an extent, your height, Etcetera] then you'll forever be miserable.

There is no other alternative. Even if you dont get a gf or be in a relationship, what can you do after that? The only thing you have left is your own goals and aspirations. If you chase girls you are fked cause you cannot force someone to like you - its subconsciously chosen at sight (fkable or not in one millisecond). The only thing you can do is try. Cause if you dont you are triplely fked in all areas of your life. And even if you dont get a relationship, at least you know you tried. Ye it sucks you have to do a more jumps or proving yourself, and maybe that might not even be enough. But at least you tried - at least you gave it all to improve. Dude, I feel so sorry for you. I'm actually a bit older than you and probably most of the people who watch your content, but let me tell you a few things. I've been in your situation too and I know the feelings you have. I promise you there is a way out, and some of the things you say luckily aren't true and exist only in your mind. The idea that when you eventually find yourself in a relationship, you won't appreciate it is absolute nonsense, for example. I was so excited when I had my first relationship, and it filled me with so much joy to experience love. There really is such a thing as love where things like appearance and success don't matter. In the end, we are human beings, and what we truly appreciate is being a good person. As for the self-improvement aspect, I partly disagree because it suggests that one must read specific books or go to the gym. Everyone should find their own path to "self-improvement." For one person, it might be working on a millennium math problem or becoming a professional athlete, while for another, it might be becoming a good nurse! Try to figure out exactly what fulfills you and what you want to contribute to this world. The thing with women, this question currently carries too much weight in your life. It's just not working out, so it's better to let it go instead of letting it destroy you. There are many other things that can fulfill you. Maybe in five years, you'll randomly meet someone with whom it works out, but stop letting it destroy you so much right now

All of the decisions you make come through your brain and personality, which are genetic at their heart. Everything you can do definitionally lies within your potential, and your potential is constrained by what your genome permits. "No matter how I spin it or how hard I’ve ever tried to do something else, I am who I am. Some of it has been my own decision, some hardwiring, genetics, upbringing and so on, but the man I am today is what I have to work with. We can and should continually look to better ourselves (a hard enough concept to really define- what is better? What is worse?) and change certain aspects of that circuitry and blueprint, but the base material we have to work with will always be the same. Junger said that, 'We do not escape our boundaries of our innermost being; it is true, we may transform ourselves, but we always walk within our boundaries, within the marked off circle.'" -Paul Waggener

It definitely can make you less attractive because it can make you come across as less confident if you are in a relationship and you say you don’t want to go somewhere or do something because there’s a lot of people. To you it means I just don’t like being around a lot of people I’d rather just be with my girl. To your girl or people around you it can come across as he’s not confident around people. Being introverted can also make you seem less attractive/confident because it can effect your assertiveness and quick decision making. Where an extroverted person can be asked if they want to go to a concert or a party they’ll say sure. An introverted person may want to go but will take a long time to decide and may try to make soft excuses as to why they don’t want to go because of the large group of people.

Being an introvert unquestionably makes you a worse proposition for women in general. There are obviously women who are drawn to introverted men but they are the exception to the norm. This is especially true if you aren't on the high end of physical attractiveness because introversion won't come off as "mysterious and brooding" but awkward and socially maladaptive. You also have less social proof because you're more likely to have less friends You're less likely to be entertaining because you probably don't leave the house much. More likely to actually be awkward because you have less social reps. The list goes on and on. In today's world being an introvert can be quite problematic. It's no one's fault but I think acting like that's not the case is silly.

You talking about this really gave me some perspective, I was a pretty ugly kid. But now that I’ve grown into my looks the world is so much kinder, easier, more positive, people want to be around you. When I was a child no one wanted me around, consistently I felt I was a burden, I felt annoying, eccentric. It’s really such a shame, the young boy I used to be was so neglected by the entirety of society. I can’t imagine how much more difficult life would be had I not grown into my looks. I’d be someone absolutely different, maybe instead of spending all my money on social interactions, fashion and music I’d have saved up my money and bought land in the middle of nowhere to be alone like society had decided I’d be. I’ve even noticed my avoidance now for less attractive people. It’s usually because the person themselves is not really desirable to know, they have nothing of value in their life at all, not personality, not relationships, not objects. And it’s no wonder they don’t have those things because society and human nature has turned on them just as it had when I was a boy. The point of this last section is this; what’s the point of befriending someone when they don’t reciprocate effort or aid in your life? I’ve just noticed more attractive people can more often end up healthier emotionally and make for better friends. That’s not to say unattractive people can’t develop themselves and make good choices it’s just that most of the ones I’ve been around haven’t done much for themselves and that’s hard to keep holding on to as someone who is constantly striving to improve. If someone’s hideous but very well respected in their field I could care less about their looks, they earned success and I’m happy for them. But from my perspective this doesn’t often happen.

I think I was the happiest when I accepted that I'm an outsider for knowing these things, but not getting hung up on the fact like I'm some kind of demigod. Short version: love your significant other like heartbreak isnt even a concept. Don’t push them away because you’re afraid of losing them. 19:42 on the topic of cynicism in a relationship, it’s very true. I’m only 20, I’m married to my highschool sweetheart. When we started out, I was and still am very insecure. I’m slightly overweight I look like melted butter with my shirt off, I workout regularly and it may just be body dysmorphia but I don’t see a change in my physique. Because of this and my constant psychoanalyzing of other peoples relationship, I truly believed that she was with me for a different reason. This was at its worst right before the wedding. I had proposed and I felt very good about proposing at the time, but as the wedding got closer I kept wondering if maybe she doesn’t truly love me. This insecurity and cynical attitude almost pushed her away entirely. It’s a dangerous mentality to have, and will almost always end in disaster. Winners aren’t afraid to lose. In other words, no matter how insecure or cynical you may be, if you truly love that girl then give her all the love that you can possibly muster. Don’t be afraid of heartbreak or it’ll always end in heartbreak.

I really don't understand. This KZbinr guy is a 7-8/10 attractive and is intelligent and well spoken. He's probably only 1 inch shorter than I am but a lot better at speaking and communicating his ideas. It doesn't compute for me why he's complaining about how hard dating is. Dating is HARD HARD HARD for the vast majority of men, including myself but I still am in the top 5-10% easily because most guys don't even try. If this guy just put in the effort in the right areas he'd be cleaning up. It gets a lot easier with age and $$. You can be cynical about women and "true love" if you want to but that doesn't mean you cannot have a wife and family knowing fully what the reality of the situation is (i.e. you get to have a loving wife and kids as long as you don't mess up or lose your "utility value")... At least you can still have great experiences of travel, family life, building a legacy - whether you believe your wife would stay loyal through hard times or not (she probably wouldn't because women are just not wired that way like men are). Every relationship, romantic or platonic between friends is in some way transactional. You do it. I do it. We all do it. I accept this whole-heartedly but life has never been better. Being black-pilled, red-pilled or whatever pilled... doesn't mean it has to be depressing.

From 18:00, the last 10min are extremely on point ! Bravo Gerby ! If you focus on your goals and accomplish the life you want to happen for you, girls *will* show up (provided you're 'open' enough to let that happen) ! "It has become difficult for me to accept the idea of love and attraction at face value." Well, arguably, love was never the default sentiment for most couples for most of humanity's history. It's a rare, niche thing that happens only in privileged places. Even rich aristocrats would marry their sons and daughters by interest, more often than not without the consent of both parties, or of any of the parties involved. A couple may be love, but that's not enough. However, a relatively loveless couple can sustain much longer if it's caring and functional. Because : most couples are, above all, team work. What's your project ? What's your idea of your future life ? Find someone with whom you can make it happen. That's the most important. Thanks for the great content!

i think u can definitely "change" your personality in a way. you can bring out the parts that are good, and avoid the parts that are bad. whatever that means to you. for me, it was a matter of changing my environment. i had really bad social anxiety from just self isolating as a kid and not having a good home life, but now at age 21 i feel comfy as myself and somewhat likeable wherever i go. a big part of that was taking a job that was really socially challenging bc of all the cool people that work there lol. and i had to learn to talk to and be around the type of people i like the most, not just the type of people i feel induce the least anxiety (quiet people, outcasts). i now feel way more confident hanging around people i would have avoided like the plague before, and those types of people bring out the better parts of me. and the longer you're in that mindset where u're actually pursuing shit/people you like, i think the more your neural pathways develope in the right ways. it's obviously uncomfy at first but u gotta go do what you think your most ideal, happiest, most confident self would do.. cause u won't become it without action. but anyway

this video hit so close for me. I’ve been grappling back and forth between my heart and my brain. I yearn for this feeling of love that doesn’t exist. The closest thing is extremely strong attraction mixed in with desperation to the point where someone will do anything for you. Do I even want to be in a relationship? No not unless ik for sure she just won’t leave me for someone else, unless she wants to go through good times and bad times, unless she wants to be with the same person for basically her whole life. When I learned that men and women love differently it was over 😭. I never understood dating until you find “the one”, because that means everyone else you’re with is a waste of time even tho you claimed to have loved them the same. If I’m being honest with myself, I’ve only loved 1 girl and I never got the chance to actually be in a relationship with her. Every other girl can be categorized as a crush regardless if we dated or not. I truly do not think I can or will allow myself to feel the way I felt about her towards anyone else.

true man i had my moments but none of those girls were ever really attracted to me im not good looking and im not that tall also im not impressive down there either and all these things matter to women theres a reason good looking dudes are sought after by women and the rest of us gotta fight and compete to be her third option being average sucks but being completely average makes you genetically inferior there is nothing good about you so girls will never be crazy over you youre just there..

you are the wisest twink I know. thanks for being so vulnerable. I think we are genetically designed to "want/need" to protect and care for women. Being comfortable and having relatively easy lives has made being the provider/protector less necessary. We still cling to this romantic need that probably can't exist anymore. I'm an old fuck who was married 20 years. People hated us because we were so perfect together. We had moved to South America to escape and toward the end I started to realize how nasty and unappreciative she was to me. I told her that she would need to change if we were to continue. She wouldn't even consider changing and 3 months later I left her and never looked back. I "glowed up" as I aged as well and living in Latin America opened a lot of "DOORs" 😄 for me and I had the opportunity to "entertain" lots of women who wanted relationships. "Passport Bros" isn't the answer because the "TikTok virus" travels via the internet everywhere. It's better but still broken. I think we need to find fulfillment in our own lives. Stoicism and mastering emotions has helped me but a lifetime of brainwashing is hard to shake. I can pull slizz but it is a lot of work and gets boring fast. I'm not sure I can believe in having a wife or living with a woman anymore.

I remember walking downtown with one of my buddies, and we walked past a couple of dudes who were at best as attractive as us with 2 girls that were actual 7-8/10. I'd put myself at a 5.5-6/10, and these dudes were 5s. One was a fat ginger, and the other was just an average looking dude. My friend never had any problems, but he's also a little more attractive than me. I was going through my blackpill phase after a bad break up(she got a train run on her one weekend) and he turned to me and said "look those guys are fucking with that and you're more attractive. It's not all about looks. Those guys have to have game and confidence. That's what you need." And it clicked for me. A lot of its physical, but i eventually learned to have confidence and get my anxiety under control. My palms used to sweat a lot, and that made me self conscious which only made me sweat more. And then idk what happened, but one day I stopped caring, and I don't sweat outside of excersing and heat. Nobody cares. You're your worst critic on everything. When I start to doubt myself as cheesy as it sounds. I picture younger me and imagine how cool he would think I was. In the moment, I seem inferior, but looking back, I've come a long way.
