A truly historical day, anyone who missed it has missed a truly one in a lifetime experience.
Assyria TV has tried to connect the worldwide Assyrian community with all the great events of this truly remarkable day through our live-streaming; however, there is so much more that remains to be shown. In today’s programme we will try to show you the following:
1. A private and Assyria TV exclusive coverage of the ‘I am Ashurbanipal: king of the world, king of Assyria’ exhibition.
2. Assyrian folk dancing in traditional assyrian clothes.
3. Assyrian fashion show and catwalk, Assyrian village costumes’ display.
4. Assyrian folk dance performance by the acclaimed Nineveh Dance Group from the Assyrian Cultural Club of Gütersloh, Germany.

I do free tours of the Assyrian Collection at the British Museum as shown here on this video. I do it on most Wednesday afternoons at about 2pm or 3pm. I might change it to Saturdays when Covid 19 gets less. The tour lasts for at least 1 hour. I normally start at the Black Obelisk of Shalmanessar III or the Rosetta Stone. I cover the whole collection on the ground floor of the museum. I try to get up to the Middle East & Babylonian section upstairs as well if I have time before the museum closes at 4:50pm. I will read a few words in the cuneiform writing on the Black Obelisk and translate it. I also explain a little of the history of Assyria that the exhibits at the museum illustrate. I am glad to see that Ashubanipal has two stylii for writting in his belt as on the wall reliefs at the museum. That shows attention to detail.

The Assyrian Empire was dissolved by the Medians long before Islam or Christianity for that matter. By the time the Assyrians converted to Christianity their empire was already divided among the Persian Empire It was already in ruins by the time the Arabs arrived during the Sassanid rule. What was left of the Assyrian Empire was the various Christian monasteries scattered amongst the domains reaching as further south as Tikrit ( not many people even know there's an old monastery there) Destroyed by the Zorastian Persians before it was left to the elements. Bet you didn't know that.

Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with beautiful branches, and with a forest-like shade, and of high stature; and its top was among the thick boughs (a main branch of a tree ~ kaitoon 1:15:10)

Umm excuse me? Why you think we would be more brown ? What does that even mean? We are light brown people. West Asians. Who are not arabs… for us to be more brown we can get more brown than shown under long period in the sun but not like others in middle east that’s about it we have olive sandy skin tone. We are indigenous homogeneous people who are fully northern west Asian Iraq Iran Turkey descendants of the our ancestors the OGS people of Mesopotamia in today age. Most purest we speak our Aramaic native language with unique genetics different than other ethnic groups in west asia like.. Arabs etc. because of not intermixing with them they are with no Arab dna barely any

Groups who live in the same region influence each other. Turks, arabs, persians, armenians, assyrians, arameans and kurds influenced each other. The dance is not only danced by assyrians and kurds but also by armenians, arabs, israelis and turks. Assyrian and kurds have similar clothes. But also the armenians have similar clothes. But no the traditional clothes of assyrians and kurds is not the same.
