Time Has Come Podcast

Күн бұрын

In this episode I had the pleasure of sitting down with my old friend Amber Marshall once again. We dive into her journey as an actress, her love for animals, and the importance of staying true to oneself in the entertainment industry, even when faced with societal expectations.
Make sure to tune in on October 1st at 7 PM for the new season of Heartland on CBC. And don't forget to visit TimeHasCome.com to join the podcast after party with Amber, where you can ask her questions and hang out with other members to discuss the podcast episode.
Thank you to Amber Marshall for being on the show and sharing your heart and farm, and to Kerry James for the awesome camera work and drone footage. And remember, copies of my new book of poetry are available on Amazon, or you can grab one from Marshall's Country Store in Turner Valley, Alberta.

Hi John , I’ve seen your comments and replies. I definitely appreciate them. So just a question, did you notice a bit distanced between them ? When Amber mentioned her anniversary, Graham didn’t say anything. And the interview seemed more like a talk show host asking questions, some silly . Just wanted your thoughts. Thank you

@@ernestminnix468 If your asking do Ty and Amy get divorced in the series-no they do not. Are you asking if they’re married in real life, no they are not . Amber is married supposedly to a man named Shawn, Graham got divorced awhile back. So far I haven’t seen anything about Graham being married. Hope this helps you.

As some who recently started watching Heartland, is has been difficult to not binge watch all the way through Season 15. Hoping Netflix will continue airing the seasons. Although I have paced myself and happy to discover these podcasts with Amy and Graham. They are so authentic and inspirational. Thank you Graham for continuing your wonderful relationship with Amber, and sharing it. As I get ready to turn 75, I have loved my career in horticulture. However, I now want to turn my attention to finding a path in another direction, working or volunteering with animals. Thank you both for this podcast, it is helping me find a new direction for my authentic self.

Totally Loved this interview❣️ I understand being refreshed and sanctified by enjoying outdoors in nature🥰 My 7 yr old son got to get a green-check conure. She was smart, fun!!! up in the morning chirping persistently to join me during hair and makeup time. I'd whistle a song, "Birds in the treetop singing a song", and she would Dance back and forth on the shower glass wall Sooo Cute 🥰 Then go back to her cage upstairs by the window watching the farm and the horses eating her breakfast and never complaining by "chirping" to get out again until the next morning. Her Big house cage was left open to come and a go and come as she pleased. But she just really enjoyed her alone time with her toy swings and mirrors view of the horses ranch area outside her upstairs room until my son came home. And then she flew to him wanting to help him with his homework💖

As I was sitting here listening to you all talk about some deep stuff…. This verse God just placed on my heart to share with the both of you… may it encourage you all and anyone else who reads this. When you don’t know which path to take, God gives us a promise if we seek Him for those answers. “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Psalms 32:8 At times in my life I haven’t always known what was the best path or know which way to go… but as a child of God, follower of Jesus… If we are saved, and His spirit lives within us… He sends us the Comforter (The Holy Spirit) who will teach us, lead us, warn us, instruct us, and so much more. Just as she was saying, sometimes you just know if you don’t need to do something or go somewhere… that’s God working in us. His Word (The Bible) is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path. I loved watching Heartland, and love hearing your thoughts and questions.. God bless you both, and may He lead you in all things. 😊

I was thinking the same thing. I’m a child of God and Jesus is my savior when I accepted Jesus I received his Holy Spirit which leads and guides me…The Holy Bible is God’s living word speaking to us … it’s our manual for life and I follow the example Jesus left for me and God speaks to me leading me and guiding me.

Love that Amber is true to herself and doesn't have to follow the Hollywood or actor's way of life. Actually, it seems like all the Heartland actors are this way. Not a fan of Grahams hair, because he always had great hair, but still looks good❤️ The only thing I am not impressed by is that if it feels right or wrong. God set good and bad, its not for any of us to decide what is good or bad. Hope that someday she takes the bible out while relaxing with the animals and reads it. Gods path is the only way. She actually speaks of somethings that are Gods way, but she needs to understand God gives her those thoughts and feelings. If she invites the Lord into her heart, there would be no stopping her! ❤

@@bobquinn3602 I’m not saying she’s doesn’t. But usually someone who does know Jesus as Saviour would say so. I’m not trying to impose anything on anyone. Having that sense of moral self is a huge blessing, especially when young. Being taught to have a moral self is also huge. It's funny, a lot of how Amber operates is exactly what is taught in the bible. Get quiet, tap into what feels to be the right thing, don't worry because it adds nothing, and just trust that you are going the right way when doing the former things. The only difference is the connection with God as the compass. Yes, nature does ground us and shows us where we started from is also where we need to reset our minds and hearts to. Love Graham! He is a great soul. I could see that in his character, Ty and in this podcast. Also want to say great job to Kerry on the production and filmwork in this. Very well done!

I enjoyed listening to Amber's core values of believing who you are as an individual, not who you are on screen. I'm like that as well, I prefer being with animals when I want to unwind. People put so many expectations on you, but animals accept you for who you are, not who they want you to be. My dog curls up next to me when I'm tired or feeling like quiet time. Everybody should have those kinds of parents who allow you to be who you are with full acceptance.

Keep making seasons of Heartland,. I love that show, and I was like Amber growing up. I wasn't into girl dolls, I was more of a tomboy. I had dogs, cats, one horse that was my brothers, but I groomed him, brushed him, fed and watered him. My dad built a corral with iron pipes for him to stay. His name was Blaze. He was a beautiful horse. My dad offered to buy him from my brother, since he basically was my horse. But my alcoholic brother sold him out from under me

Great job KERRY JAMES, on photography and drone, but your sound work on the walk and talk was absolutely pristine. You hid the mics well, presumably at the breast bone as I couldn't even see the element or wires through their T-shirts. I don't know if you tweaked the sound in post or it's just the mics you use, but I couldn't really hear their footsteps or the breeze in the trees. Great job on very clean sound!

I was hoping Amber would give God credit for her turning out to be such an Amazing person. I feel like it is God and his Devine intervention that helps us make good decisions! I still enjoyed that she feels capable of knowing how to make good choices.😊

@@osupride97 I'm so glad that Heartland didn't turn out to be a bible thumping show....That would have been a big turn-off for me....Everyone is on their OWN spiritual path. There is no right or wrong........

Thank you for this amazing podcast. It was great to get to know Amber better and her love of nature. Additionally, Graham, your questions, while meant for Amber created a greater insight into your thoughts and ideas. We have gotten to know both of you as actors, but this conversation has allowed us a brief glimpse into your humanity. I am an older fellow that has been around quite a few years, and I must compliment both of you for your wisdom beyond your years. Amber has expressed beautifully, the need to be true to yourself, but you too Graham, have demonstrated that character as well. I wish you both the best of luck in your future, and thank both of you for the joy you have given to so many. Greetings from Kentucky!

A fantastic podcast. With Amber I think it’s what you see is what you get! She is so natural and has no airs or graces. I would think she is an absolute fantastic person to work with and in between scenes a lovely person to go for a walk with and just relax. Thank you both for an awesome podcast. Here’s to the next one. Best wishes to both of you and take care of yourselves.

This is so much fun to watch and hear! Especially right at around 35 mins, listening to the body. . . it holds the whole situation. Graham, you would probably be very interested in the book by Eugene Gendlin called Focusing. He found a way to teach what Amber is talking about and he calls it Focusing (on an inner place that is alive and in touch with our whole living system in fact, and knows the right way to go). So many people are out of touch with that. Feelings are the doorway to that place. I love how often Amber refers to checking into the feeling. I practice Focusing, and it has revealed itself to be what I call a spiritual practice. It's just practical, functional and real--and all others seem abstract in comparison for me. And Graham, as you know, Heartland hasn't been the same without you, as it 'should' be.

Love this. Excellent advice/guidance on all levels. Everyone has a built in compass, but many are so busy or wrapped up in the latest trend, the next big thing, the popularity contest, that they ignore it. And like a friendship, when it's ignored, you slowly lose it. Anxiety (future) and regret (past) are the same distraction, just different ends of a timeline. Being quiet, reconnecting, ALLOWING yourself to be in the today...the moment, is certainly beneficial, because it's actually all you have. Subscribed.
