I'm from Tampa Florida to and I'm sad to say that the churches that are very close to me do not act like a church and more like a click and also They Don't Preach about repentance and only preach about the positive messages. I had to leave these churches and now I listen to bless Hope Chapel every week. I also met some people on Facebook who are also blessed Hope Chapel followers and we discipleship every week which has been great!

I have had similar issues finding a church...in one, the pastor's wife said " God told her" after she prayed and then wrote his answer in a journal...that is very suspicious behavior. An occultist would call that a channeled automatic writing. What do you think?

@@charlottemccain6714 the pastor's wife in my old church told me that it was not an accident that I went to their Church when I went to her for counseling and instead of getting the help that I need and a Biblical way and I wanted to talk about the things she had me fill out about my past she just said that the old you passed away and you're a new creation in Christ which is true but that is a bad time to use that quote and she wanted to sweep my past under the rug and everybody in the congregation seems to do the same and then she told me to join their singles group and she was going to send me a mentor but the mentor didn't really act like a mentor and more like a person that can't be bothered. Ironically that was the same day I went back to the church a couple of hours later after that and ironically that was the last church service I ever went to I was having transportation problems because I don't have a car mostly for medical reasons and my mom was on vacation so she couldn't take me and then I eventually decided not to come back. The last church service at the end of the service a lady was on the ground shaking and crying and then they put a blanket over her and I was looking at her Direction really horrified and one of the pastors told me that it was the Holy Spirit working through her. I later found out that that was not biblical and that is actually a Pentecostal teaching and Christians cannot be demon possessed. I felt a huge weight on my shoulders when I decided not to come back and taking Ubers over there is very expensive even though it is 10 minutes away. Also another thing to look at is if you get more from reading the Bible than you do the service then that is not the church for you. A pastor that preaches according to scriptures which is what Joe does is worth more than Rubies and gold! I know one possible church I can go to in my area but it's 30 minutes away. So I just followed the Blessed Hope Chapel Church.

I just had a conversation with a hyper-dispensationist. He was saying whole books in the NT were for the Jewish people only, and as gentiles, we shouldn't apply them to our faith. I said bro you can't disregard half of the NT. He then said I wasn't a true follower because I clearly didn't have eyes to see.
