The theme of this year’s festival, “Farm to Table: Sustaining Our Future Through Indigenous Knowledge,” highlights multiple perspectives on Indigenous contributions to sustainable farming by exploring trends, innovations and sustainability in Native communities. In this segment, James Jones (Cree), talks about his identity and values as a Canadian First Nations person and shares his talent with flute playing, break dancing, and an exciting performance of traditional hoop dancing.
This program was webcast and recorded in the Rasmuson Theater of the National Museum of the American Indian on April 28, 2019.
