Living Forest Oceanside Campground Review

We camped here in summer of 2007 for a single night, we accidently found the place while driving around the island and searching for a place to spend the night, when we woke up in the morning and saw the scenery we could not believe it is real, forest + ocean and the morning breeze, this a heaven on earth, Thank you for bringing memories

I grew up in the area and even fished trout there. The place is magical on the edge of the Nanaimo river.

We arrived there just after Xmas. It was covered in deep snow. They had our reserved spot cleared and ready for us. Many people had xmas light displays as did the office building. Magical! Great rates, they fill all sizes of propane tank with pick up and delivery to your site and have clean laundry area with newer machines. We did walks around the campground and out along the river there is a walkway that goes for miles.

Our favourite campground! Rates are competitive with other places that don't have the views and features.. This is an exceptional video, btw! Plan in advance -- not unusual for most sites to be booked a year ahead in high season. Also, it's a good location from which to explore Vancouver Island.

Very expensive, and no room between sites, they were packed in. Wouldn’t go there again.
