I’m sorry but you misquoted that verse about forgiving an offender before bringing ones gift to the alter. It says this: Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. Mathew 5: 23-24. Basically, God doesn’t want your gift if you are offending others and aren’t willing to make right over the offense.
