Wow! This was such an amazing, emotional and inspiring interview of Mr. Gilliland. His vivid memories of locking eyes with the First Lady & the President in the motorcade are impactful. Grateful for The Sixth Floor Museum & Stephen Fagin for preserving this and all the other “Living History” eyewitness interviews. 😍

Another fascinating interview concerning this tragic event. BTW, Stephen, you are one of the best interviewers I have ever seen, truly letting the subject tell his or her story.

The Newman family, couple and two children (infant/toddler), saw JFK at Love Field -- then drove to other end of motorcade route and were right on curb on Elm Street, in front of Zapruder, the closest spectators to the occupants of the presidential limousine when JFK was shot in head.

That was a very interesting interview Gilliland showed how the assassination affected him but turned it over to a positive of possibilities of what JFK could have accomplished. His living history is so moving because he took JFK and showed how he inspired him. Peter Russo

See how enthusiastic that crowd was, but coming to elm Street nobody is even waving, or smiling, is that because the film has been tampered with?
