They recently found a print on the beach in Wales (I think!) that is 36” long! Even the toenails/claws are easy to see. They sat that they dinosaur making the print was probably a megalosaurus, and it’s hip joint would have been about 10’ high. And I agree, being able to stop at interesting places along the road is one of the best parts.

When I lived in Colorado in the 80’s I went to a Sniagrab sale at Gart Brothers downtown. I bought a discontinued North Face King Tut sleeping bag. It’s over length, over size diameter and the comfort zone is -35. Great for camping at 12,000’ in January in Colorado.

Camper reminds me SOOOOO much of my bestest friend that passed away some time ago. I know exactly how you feel when he's cuddle up next to you under the blanket. My pup used to sleep the same way. I'd wake up and roll over and there she'd be, half under the covers, head on the pillow next to me every morning. Only thing I hated about having her on my adventures is when she wanted to crawl into my sleeping bag at night 😀

I had a 20 year old North Face tent that I used when I returned to college in my mid 40s. It survived a windstorm in Death Valley (if you know you know) that destroyed a handful of other students tents and put most of them in the vans for the night. I hardly slept from the noise but didn’t even have any sand in my tent and no damage. That tent saw me thru several years of college forestry/natural resources field trips. I’m now employed in forestry. Need a new tent. (Finally cracked a pole).

Hey Nikki, I have watched your channel for several years and have really enjoyed joining you in your travels. I have traveled all over the country for years and did it tent camping. This was very fun but there were many uncomfortable nights. I just purchased a 2006 Toyota Prius like you had and think this will allow me to have a better experience. I could buy a van like you have for a more comfortable experience but watching your experience with things breaking impressed me that the Prius is a less complicated way to go. I love the area you are touring right now, we spent a week each in various locations, so many cool things to see all over that area and so many more. Hiked to the Toadstools, got stuck in the sand at lone rock, went to a slot canyon to hike, went to the dino museum, pink sands, antelope, north rim, etc so many more things I wanted to see while there. The rangers are so helpful, I highly recommend stopping in and chatting with them for great ideas
