Can't wait to see the full build out! When i got my PA, my first three things were A1 risers (the HD ones block the screen), the folding shift lever (my big feet couldnt find the small stock one) and the Screaming Eagle exhaust (with the db limiter removed). The next was the seat. I highly recommend the services of Mean City Cycles in NC. I mailed them my stock PA seat and they reshaped it. It kept the og look but boy what a difference!

HI Jess, My comment here is not necessarily about this video, but I post it here because it is your most recent video, and I sincerely hope that you might read this. I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH for your channel, your content, and your videos. I'm now 71, retired from the Air Force 26 years ago, in basically good health for my age, just started my Social Security, and it appears that I'm about to become a motorcycle rider. (As a teenager I rode around a little tiny Honda, you know, like in the Beach Boys song . . . but that is the limit of my "motorcycle" experience so far.) Your videos are so fun, light hearted, funny just a tad irreverent, but not certainly not obnoxiously so, etc. etc. So I am a new subscriber of yours only moments ago, as you have contributed greatly to my great anticipating of starting to ride. The video of yours that I just watched and which touched me so to subscribe was one from a year and a half ago, entitled, "Well... You said this would happen." So I subscribed, and look forward to more of your wonderful content, which chiefly consists of you just being the honest, happy, candid, genuine, and fun person you are. But I've already watched many dozens of your cool videos. So please don't underestimate the impact and far reach that you have on others by your great efforts. I don't have a two-wheel ride yet, but I think that I've figured out which bike I want to get, and while I'd love to get an Indian Roadmaster, it will probably be a used V-twin 900 cc rice burner cruiser (with full hard bags, back seat, and trunk). I am about to start my MSF Safety Course, and in preparation for that, I'm starting to get my own safety gear. That which has the most appeal to me in riding is in going on long trips. I've never been yet to Key West (St. Pete, yes) yet, and I'm dying to be there one day. I've already driven all over our great land, but I look forward to that now on two wheels. I live in a small town in the great basin, but no longer associate at all with my inherited culture. In my life, I've flown jet planes, built street machines, done a bit of street racing, participated in bicycle racing, been a rock climber, engaged in other hobbies, but something about riding on two wheels has just bit me real hard at the present time. So we'll see where this new bug takes me, and when I get my ride, I'll try and let you know somehow. But I want it to be red, just like my old 1972 V-8 Vega wagon street machine back in the day. I Refuse to "act my age." So there you go. Thank you, thank you again. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. PS: I've enjoyed your videos with your hubby, where you go on trips together. I also want to do Mt. Washington now - perhaps Pike's Peak also? I hope you can do more of these with your man. BTW, in '82-'85 I was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB near Dayton, so I know your area somewhat. Cheers.

The same riser from 21-23 should fit the 24. There are tons of out on the market. Some better than others. The one that go 2 up and 1 back dont blocm rhe gauges. The fog light kit according to the instructions should have come with the correct mount for 24s. I am in the process of making my own. Didnt know about the change on mid year 24s mone had the threaded inserts for panniers.

HD used to have a repuation for being a Mr. Potato Head when it came to accessories. Everything just fit because they built the bikes the same way for ten years without any changes. Seems like they are constantly changing the Pan Am. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of little of things they needed to change from the first bikes. I'm glad they are working to improve it.

Aside from the bolt on viking overlord bags and national cycle switchblade windshield, the Raider is and will always be bone stock. My neighbor paid mkre for the stage 4 on his 2013 cvo breakout than i did for my bike. He has 3000mi on it and offered it to me for $12000. To each their own. 🙂

All that so you'd have room for your floaty? And why not just bungy the sleeping bag to a support behind you? I didn't get a good view of the bike with all the boxes on it, but let's just say it ain't like paddling up to a 34 foot wooden sloop; that takes your breath away and addicts you to sailing for life. Cheers!

If you're going to ride your PA offroad, you'll want to skip the Jekyll and go with something like a Supertrapp, with an integral spark arrestor, or another option that has a factory fit spark arrestor available. I don't think Jekyll is doing one. Don't be that guy (Or Girl)...
