Extremely rare and unreleased original extended version from 1987, possibly mixed by Tom Lord-Alge (who was the co-producer of the album version) instead of Arthur Baker who re-mixed the different commercial 12" mixes.

I bought the original remix back in 87, but this version has the moog base running through it, which I prefer! I'm glad to finally find this!

I´m afraid that I can´t give a successful answer to this question!. To the best of my knowledge, it´s an unreleased version. I found it many many years ago digging online deep into some obscure music sharing places, maybe recorded from tape..and I can´t even rememeber exactly where...

You're right..the synth pad is really missed on this mix. But it´s an interesting rarity to hear anyway! ;)

Sounds like a demo version. The final released version made better use of the parts in my opinion.

I wouldn´t say a demo..it sounds too polished for a demo, also full of extra work and overdubs and if you remove the extended extra parts it sounds VERY similar to the album version. I´m more on the side to think that it's an original extended that never saw the light commercially, made by the same people who mixed/produced the album version... Also keep in mind that this copy was not taken directly from a master, so the sound is not completely clear...

@@Pacalo Agree, it's clearly a remix sourced from the original studio session multitrack. If it were a demo it wouldn't have the exact same vocal recording and other identical original production elements.
