In 70s, there was a DIY movement in France and it was all about building the house of your dreams. Joel Unal and his wife took on this trend and built their own personalised pod. Unal may not be an architect, but his house is so extraordinary, it was declared a National Heritage of France in 2010.

Hmm looks like ferro cement building from years ago. Visionary....not quite. There are more visionaries doing tiny homes that this. A huge house with nothing in it. It's a lot like the so called visionary painters of this era. Long on talk but little substance.
