The track looks like the farm drive that I use to have to ride my motorbike down to get home when I was a youngster, it was compounded by mud of course in West Wales. I only fell off my motorbike once. The farm drive hasn’t really improved over the years!

Hi to you both we just watched the vlog you made us laugh hope Shelley had a great birthday and hope she is feeling better you are doing amazing job rick it’s coming along great and just got to say we were on holiday in Spain once’s and the same thing happen to us with the ants Angie got up and on her pillow was lots of ants and down were she was laying to cut the story short we got moved but it did spoil Angie holiday she couldn’t sleep and like Shelley said you still think they are still on you but glad you have got them out the bedroom but we can see how amazing this will look you are doing a fantastic job and your landlord is so lucky to have you we can’t wait for the nexts vlog

I was itching watching the ants ,so I don't know how I would have managed with that. I have just watched This Morning ,they did a section on ants.They hate strong smell ie Peppermint ,Citronella plants Cinnamon and Cayenne pepper, also any citrus essential oils on tissues.They also said they hate vinegar so clean affected areas with white vinegar. I hope this helps if you have problems in the future.

Picón pros...relatively cheap, lightweight so easy to carry. Cons...because it's light it tends to blow around in the wind. Really painful if you stand on it with bare feet. Small stones are more expensive but better. Leroy's have good solar string lights for about 30€...hand them up inside and put the solar panel out the window to charge them up Those bloody ants! Once they've put a trail down they will use it as a highway to go on the lookout for food. Try to find out where they get in and block the holes. Talc rarely works. They love 3 week old mince though

Christ the landlord must be chuffed with you guys being such hands on, the place is going to be minted by the time yous are done. We stayed in an app in palm mar at xmas, and the ants we bad, ended up only allowing food to be ate outside, ending up keeping all foods in the fridge because they would get anything that was in the cupboards. Can’t really help with plant care as my kitchen windowsill was affectionately known as “Death Row” by all my family coz I’d killed so many plants with my ‘care’. Rick you have amazed me again as not many would know what you were talking about when you said Belle View. We both follow Speedway, me Redcar Bears and Mel Sheffield Tigers. We’ve also been to many GPS at Cardiff and Wembley before that and still follow on matches and GPS on TV when it’s on. You will eventually convince the ants to move out. I finally did with a good douching with ant powder when I worked out where they were coming from.

Hi both I watch electric vehicle man on KZbin. He knows his stuff on home solar. It may be worth reaching out to him in a bit of content collaboration. He could look at your current system and advise. Just from what you have shown it seems you don't have enough panels and batteries. Where you live you should be able to live comfortably off grid without any issues. Why not contact ev man just a thought.
