Living in a Log Cabin Alone, Supplements for My Cabin in the Woods, Birch Syrup | Nature is Calling

Hello my friends! Another day of my life in my cabin in the woods. Now it's spring, so you need to collect birch sap and make birch syrup. Now the forest is flourishing and it gives us a lot of nutrients that we need to use. In this video I made a lot of additions to my house in the woods, I made a shelving unit for my tools and things. This video demonstrates the beautiful nature of our planet and the lonely life in the forest. My goal is to live off what nature gives us, so I collected 20 liters of birch sap and made syrup out of it. Birch syrup is very beneficial for health.

We harvest sap too but mount your bucket higher up the tree .. like 3-4 feet, keep animals out and easier to find them. And I do believe you are getting taller.. love the videos.. best wishes to you and family. 🥰

Your forest is so beautiful, I love when you include closeups of it and how the snow filters down through it. You have a great eye in choosing which scenes to include. I am in awe of your knowledge of the forest and being able to construct the things you need. Some of it seems to be common sense, but do you realize how rare that is in this day?! There are times I wish I could be there helping you, but that would ruin the dynamic you have created. Take good care of yourself, be safe.

Hello my friend! Again it’s so nice to see you upload a new video. You sure did a lot of work getting a nice storage area at the side of your hut. I must admit, I wish I have shared with you the video showing the easier way to flatten the log. But your way was a good exercise hahaha! I have one concern though and it has nothing to do with your projects. Right from the get-go, I noticed right away the color of your clothing which can be mistaken as military. Is that safe for you to wear clothings in that color with the present situation where you’re at? I’m just concerned about your safety. Never had birch syrup but if it is like sugar maple then I am going to find some birch trees so that I can harvest some sap to make some. I wish I could show you how to make traditional quick bread it's called also fry bread... No yeast.. flour salt baking powder and water fried in good hot oil it's the best you can even make pie crust in that out of it make hot pockets all kinds of yummy yummy stuff is stores good for hikes it lasts for days

I too am interested in Birch syrup! I'm in Michigan USA we have no shortage of maple syrup but also have millions of White Birch trees.

In your opinion, birch syrup has a deeper, richer flavour than maple syrup but not quite as sweet.

Birch sap is very sweet and bitter. I have never tried maple syrup, but I will definitely try.
