I'm a new subie, single Mom, I've been there. I also use my TV stand for storage, I used the frosty window lining on the doors to hide what's inside. They worked really well. My son is now 24, but when we had a smaller space, all that mattered was that we were together. We made our apartment a home, our sanctuary, being there together. That's all that matters.

If you want to camoflage the blankets in the entertainment center, you can use frosted glass window film that covers the glass doors so you can't see what it inside. It is less than $10

This apartment is actually pretty big for a one bedroom. The layout works very well for turning the living room into a bedroom space. The wall was very creative. Again I’m sorry I don’t have a video on me building the wall at that point in my life I was still processing that I had to move out of the house I was renting because the seller wanted to sale and then shorty after lost my job due to layoffs so I wasn’t in the mind frame to record but get myself together again . 🫶🏾

When my kids were growing up.. when my ex and I first split and I moved back home to Cali… downsized to a two bedroom/bath with a large 2nd bedroom… but I gave my sons the master because it was two of them… It worked for the time so i could get situated…

Your bedroom is a nice size. It's a great trade off to having a larger living room. I also use grocery store bags as trash bags. They fit perfectly in the small trash cans.

Hi, I just wanted to quickly add that although your property is considered a 1-bed place, it has 2-bed spaces and I think you have done a really great job with organizing everything in and around your apartment. You have a really nice-sized kitchen and your Kids room looks really good! The only advice I would give is, as it is a small apartment, just be sure to keep it minimal and try not to allow too much clutter to accumulate. I can relate as I am currently living in a three-bedroom property all on one level, but the property layout is pretty small. I am constantly feeling paranoid about the place getting piled up with too much clutter. I often find myself purchasing bin liners and then seeing how much rubbish I can collect and how many bags of rubbish I have managed to gather for each room. I would also suggest trying to invest in storage boxes to store the comforters. You can use the internment area to store other items. You have a cool apartment and I like the utility room. Just a suggestion to the wall you built, put some chalk to cover the gaps and maybe paint it black and if you can try putting up a light weight mirror that will open up the space and complete the beautiful look. I got a portable washer & dryer hook up to the sink. The drain holes I hold it down with a bucket hokes on the handle put in side gallon of water push close to sink wall so holes don't fly every were.

Hey !! Yes I got a Shark Rocket the pet edition one! I really like this, it picks up really well specially having pets and it’s compact . I’ve had it for a few years no problems . I just dump the contents out of the canister and maybe once a week clean the brush . It was about $130 from Walmart but they also have these on Amazon . I wouldn’t recommend using this vacuum if you like to use carpet fresh as that seemed to cause build up but maybe that’s with every vacuum .

Sometimes I get in mom mode and do most of the cleaning but I believe that children should pick up after themselves and know how to clean because one day they are going to be on their own and I hope that they respect their homes and space by cleaning and being appreciative of what they have

In apartment complex specifically Bay Area average for a 2x not based on your income or a low income is about 2200+ a 3bedroom anywhere from 2450 + .. but you have to keep in mind they want you to gross 3x the rent 😫 and you’ll more than likely have a 10% rent increase every year! Private land lord are often what people go after because they may be willing to will and deal .
