Great van tour & some very worthwhile extras fitted, I guess most of which comes over time. I'm currently looking at buying a motorhome to travel the whole of the UK, slow travel over months. I've seen this layout & while I like it, it's not for me, I'm going for a designated 6 berth with over cab bed, dinette/bed/kitchen, bathroom & big rear lounge/huge bed It's only for me & two dogs but want the roomier floor space & seperate dinette & lounge. I'll be using the over cab bed as storage & a 3/4 size bed part pullout in the rear lounge...leaving the dinette in situe. Each to their own

I originally looked at a motorhome with rear U lounge but it was 7.6m. I worked in London for 3 years so the size was the issue. 6m means I can park in most places.
@keepitreal1547Ай бұрын
@Roadshome Yes sure, the length of dinette & rear lounge motorhomes are long & the downside being maneuverability & parking up. I'm going to risk it though, I just know I need the floor space & rear lounge to relax properly. I've narrowed it down to a couple of brands & models...hope to get fixed up ASAP.

Can’t believe I’ve found this channel. I’m about to embark on full time motor home living and I’m also going for this motor home. I will have a good look through your videos thank you for sharing

It's a nice size van. From standard you will want to add a few mods, solar and batteries to start if your planning any time away from sites. Glad you found us too.
@Dangermouse27Ай бұрын
@Roadshome yeah will definitely be getting an off-grid lithium system. Have you managed to fit everything under the seating down the left side. Did you do away with the drawer? I'd rather it was all fit there rather than using the garage. Lots to think about 👍

That bed option really makes sense to me , ya dont have be constantly looking at it if its fixed and makes for a much bigger living space , guessing you can put mountain bikes at the back too . Like it a lot .

Room for 4 bikes. Not sure I'd trust them on there.

We are good. Overtime We have accumulated enough places for different weather's and situations. The north of England around the lakes and Yorkshire is fantastic for vanlife.

My lighting is very poor. Might have a word with my local company about upgrades. You have a nice van, having been inside during the summer. Taking a bit of time out being a newbie. 🥴

Some touch lef lights like I shoe in my kitchen are easy to fit.

Side note, what happens if the electric motor packs up on the bed, can you bring down manually. Looks like you on the moon in that carpark, but with puddles 😂
@RoadshomeАй бұрын
I did ask that question when I was buying the van. He told me it can be manually lowered. But there isn't any point that I've found. So I guess I'm buggered We call this the the moon 😆 don't know it's proper name.

With the diesel heater it's easy to keep toasty. Windows are double layer so insulate as well.

Thank you so much for showing us around your home/van (thanks sioux for filming and directing ). I like the bed that can be made up all the time but his hidden away when not used. Regarding the fridge. Does it work just on the gas or can you use electric to run it? Also the drawer under the fridge is that also a 'cold' drawer? I like you not only have a 2 burner hob but also a full cooker, that's great. I think for a single person it's a great van with enough storage. As far as liking 'wood in the rear' too much information mate hahahhaa

I wired the fridge to run on 240v off the inverter from batteries. But it used 15A a hour so would only run in very sunny weather. Then the inverter got to hot. So I abandoned that idea. It runs on lpg gas, 12v when driving or 240 if plugged into mains. 12v only keeps the temperature stable, it won't cool or freeze. It uses about £1 of gas over 24 hours Yes drew under the fridge is a cooler.
@spudman869Ай бұрын
@@Roadshome fantastic, thank you for your reply Mark. Where do you refill you LPG?
@RoadshomeАй бұрын
There is an app. My lpg.eu but most Morriston garages have it. That's where we refill, morrisons Morecambe. But lpg is on the banned list from 2030-35 depending on governments policy and if it goes ahead.

Yes just a tad bit. We have been to this parkup when it's been a lot colder, the puddles freeze over, quite un-nerving driving over and hearing them crack.

Oh yes very good point , he should have said without long handles, not only do they store better but they are also easier on his hob. Thanks for watching 👀 🙂 Sioux.

130 is not a lot of hp for a lot of heavy van. Must be quite fuel thirsty to run, assume he either stays put for days or has a good stable income or a plump cushion of savings.
@RoadshomeАй бұрын
28 to 35 to the gallon. It's a house on wheels, no need to get there fast. I move it nearly every day so no definitely don't over stay my non welcome in the UK.
