OUR STORY:
We're Tal & Mads - a Nurse & Teacher couple from Toronto, Canada who fell in love while traveling the world together. When we adopted our dog Bowie, we decided the best way to continue traveling would be in our self built camper van, Billie. We hit the road in January 2022 and drove all the way through the United States and into Mexico. We thought creating vlogs would be a great way to keep our friends and family updated while being a wonderful memento of our travels. And now, here we are sharing anything and everything that we think will make you smile.

I know I’m old and a bit freaked by all this internet stuff and the almost daily reporting of identity theft, information leaks and breaches of company and medical information, etc…… but I would love to take that DNA test, but it gives the company so much information on you, and it’s “not if”, but “when” their files are hacked I worry about what can be done with all the data they retrieve from that dna sample. What are your thoughts?

A buddy & I made a shelter out of driftwood and slept under it, until hunger drove us to hitch-hike back to civilization. But we did meet an American draft-dodger who was kind enough to feed us one evening. Thanks again, happy/safe travels...

Alittle fyi for the two of you n everyoody Way back n i do mean about 50 yrs ago you could drive on the beach n camp wild right I know this cause my dad had a brother who worked for the coast guard in Tofino n we would go up there to vist him Ask around it is true plus the only road in was a road that was lets say like a rollercoaster Enjoyed seeing it again thru your eyes

As a lifelong Vancouver Islander, I want to say thanks for your videos of your visit here. Also, thanks for working the words "Van" and "Island" into this video's title. Well done ! :) Some people like to call it "Van Isle." For me, I like to tell people that I'm from "Vancouver Island" as opposed to me saying "BC" or "Canada," because our island is kind of distinct and I like the geographical separation from the rest of North America. Yeah, I've heard of Spiky Hair Bowie. Back in the day, back in the woods, he would go up against John Henry in back woods contests and was the only one that beat poor John Henry down. He never used a hammer, he just filled his mouth with nails and spit them into boards with perfect precision. He never had to cut firewood because when he walked up the logs would quiver and fall into perfect size pieces. The only thing greater than his power was his quietness and modesty. Yeah. Spiky Hair Bowie. They still tell the tails and the tails still wag.

I heard so much about Tofino and how lovely it is. Awesome that you were able to spend time with friends at such a fun location. Tal, you are are quite good at surfing, glad you enjoyed it.
