FORMERLY JEEP NOOB CHANNEL*
The fun has begun and we are armed and ready with hammers, drills and all sorts of other cleaning devices. The first day of the tiny home build is here.
Thank you everyone for the support and watching our channel. I know Jeep builds and How To's get a bit boring so we are doing our best to give more well rounded content. Feel free to follow along as we are going to try and post up as often as possible in a more follow along friendly way.
"Our parodies are for fun, our adventures are our life and this is our lifestyle! Sit back, grab a vodka on the rocks, some tea in a mug, a monster in a can, some tacos! and enjoy at your own risk!" - FC Out

If your Makita drill motor works like my Dewalt you insert the driver bit, close the chuck until it grips then grab the chuck and slowly turn it in the close direction or clockwise as looking straight on at the chuck. There's a ratcheting mechanism in the chuck that will clap down on the bit. You will hear a light clicking sound. To undo turn chuck in the counter clockwise direction in the same fashion. Don't hold the chuck and squeeze the trigger (@4:35 min). That is the incorrect technique as it doesn't clamp down tightly on the bit! Cheers!

Outstanding episode. You have a talent for editing and keeping the vignettes that inform and entertain. Looking forward to how your floorplan and design unfolds.

We really appreciate that feedback. Thank you for watching and we hope they keep getting better. I’m really interested to see how it unfolds also. It’s already been a journey getting to this point

Looks like so much fun and soooo much work! I look forward to more videos about your airstream remodel. I can not wait to see what your plans are and ideas for setting up such a small space.

We really appreciate that. Expect a it more of them as we go through the build. We will keep the titles consistent so they will be easy to find. Should be at least two a week as we press forward. The work part is definitely correct lol

As someone once sponsored by airstream, try and keep the material you add to the airstream to an absolute minimum. There's a reason the stock material is light weight and shitty. The chassis and aluminum frame is not designed to hold the weight of traditional 2x4 wood construction. Just keep that in mind when rebuilding. You want it to be safe on the highway.

Good insight there. We don’t plan on getting to crazy with it but we will definitely heed to that warning. Do you have a preference on size and material that you recommend for building are wood framing and cabinets from?

Freedom Crawler I'm not sure about materials but I'd try and see if you can adapt some IKEA cabinets to fit and then customize the curved ceiling parts. IKEA cabinets are light weight, good looking and relatively inexpensive as a turnkey unit. Worth a glance at their website.

You might want to save the curved top pieces for fitting to new stuff.

I like your thinking . We saved a couple of the metal frames for this exact reason.

How friggin' fun. Can't wait to see the progress. I stumbled across your Christmas Mountain video a few weeks ago, and you guys have since become one of my favorite channels. Hope to meet you guys on the trails someday.

Do y'all have any photos or maybe a build that you saw on a forum that is your inspiration for your build? Would love to see what people do to these things custom.

Not specifically. We just made our own rough draft floor plans that we drew up but we’ve just been accumulating a bunch of ideas and what we’d like it to look like. Interested to see how it turns out ourselves as well
