I live in Australia 🇦🇺. I appreciate not constantly feeling insecure. No bars on the windows. You can travel safely from one end of the country to another there's no chance of kidnapping either by road, rail or air travel. There are no "area boys" who threaten you with violence in order to get money from you. The air is clean, there are no "open gutters", no public defecation. Relatively little garbage on the streets. Motorists give way to pedestrians rather than terrorising them with their vehicles. Police and officials don't solicit bribes. The urban landscape is far more beautiful here, not only is it cleaner. People have lawns, trees aren't mercilessly cut down, consequently the urban environment is far more relaxing and pleasant to be in. Nature is appreciated more and respected more here. If a snake is found in your garden or home. You can call either the council or some organisation that will capture the snake or animal and take it away to release it into a suitable environment. In Nigeria people will simply kill the creature without a second thought. People go out of their way to rescue stranded whales, not butcher them on the beach. They do have "outdoor" markets, but the vendors aren't intrusive. The most they will do is shout out the prices and they don't do it for long either. Prices are displayed and don't vary depending on if you're a stranger or local.

Valid points you made here 👍. Thank you for your contribution, and thank you for watching the video. I was quite surprised 😮 when I heard that you don’t kill a snake, instead you call snake catchers to capture the snake 😃I was like, wow 🤩 cos in Nigeria it’s straightaway killing!!😂

I love this video. Thank you! Well, here in Lagos, Nigeria we don’t greet. You only greet people you know, the first time I came to Lagos as a child I greeted every one I met on the street and almost no one responded, young and old🤷🏼‍♀️ I later got used to it and now… I would like to ask, is Australia hot? I learnt today that there are parts of Australia where it doesn’t rain 🌧 How true pls?? Because I no go fit come obodo oyibo make this heat wey nearly murd me for Nigeria come continue with me for there. Cold need to catch me make me kwanu wear winter jacket😅

Thank you so much for watching. Australia is HOT 🔥 the summer sun ☀️ is very harsh 😞. But there’s the cooler seasons too and then there’s winter ( which I absolutely 😊) I haven’t heard about any part of Australia where it doesn’t rain at all sha .

As much as abroad is a more developed place than Nigeria or more like they provided the “basic amenities” Nigeria refused to do. Ever wondered why there’s so much high suicidal rate and depression. It’s a lonely place to live in. Everyone is busy, and you have to get busy to be busy or risk the slightest thought of depression creeping in. ! Thank you for this topic.

Hi Kayode. How old are your kids? Do you have anyone to look after them? To be honest, life with kids here can be difficult if you don’t have anyone/family to look after them for you to work. Otherwise they have to go to childcare which is quite expensive.

Please as a newbie, will it be easy to make it as an African fashion designer? Or making ready to wear Ankara tops. What hand work can earn one a convenient living as a newbie especially with kids that aren't up to school age.
@estherkingsley
@estherkingsley Жыл бұрын
Hi Lizaj, I know a few African fashion designers here who are making it, but I believe they have something else they do as well. Hairdressers and makeup artists too. Especially African hairdressers/hairstylists that know how to handle African hair. Again, you may start it out as a side hustle first, then go from there. Cos if you’re new, it’ll take some time for people to get to know about you/your craft. I hope that helps?😊

@@estherkingsley me too. I just smile now instead. People still seem to think it’s odd but it’s natural in the country. I can’t walk past someone and ignore them.
