The meat prices are about the same or even a little bit more, here in Aus, from a German supermarket. I am surprised how high the prices are, import tax i guess?

Most of these prices are crazy high, I'm surprised that expats pay these prices considering most go to SE Asia to reduce their cost of living not to keep it the same. Interesting to see though, thank you

Most people don't, but sometimes you want something from home. Almost everything has a cheaper option except cereal and Vegemite 😅. With anywhere local products will be less and imported more due to shipping.

@@NilyTravels surprisingly these supermarkets are quite packed in the city. So basically it's usually city folks that go here. Other locals prefer traditional markets since it's affordable and offers a better variety of traditional Khmer selections.

its a expat store with food imported, so khmers are not really going there.

@@jasondavies8722 it's packed every afternoon with local people. Western food is shipped here so it's more expensive, in saying that everything is a lot cheaper. When you save $800 a month on everything else is a good deal. W
