Here's the single term that no one mentioned in this 43 minute video: EARTHQUAKES! I absolutely can't believe that this was glossed over. It is a major issue and a large part of the reason that Chile isn't a more popular expat destination. Most of the country lays inside the "Pacific Ring of Fire". This includes it's largest cities and most of it's coast line. This should have been mentioned, at the very least.

Thank you for your comment! I completely understand your concern about earthquakes in Chile-it’s definitely an important topic. My channel focuses primarily on the cost of living and affordability for those considering moving abroad, so I don’t typically dive into other factors like natural disasters or potential downsides. That said, I encourage anyone considering Chile or any other country to research all aspects of living there, including risks like earthquakes, to ensure it’s the right fit for them. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!

@@adventurefreaksss Re, you have a really great channel and I enjoy it very much. I think the takeaway on this is that anyone who considers moving abroad must enter into it with a "worst-case mentality". While there are an abundance of positive channels, there is an almost 100% absence of those that examine the risks. Without this, the prospective expat really needs to do their homework. Thanks for your great work.

Chile doesn't have a very exact amount requirement for the Retiree Visa. The recommended range is between $1,000 and $1,500. $500 for each dependent.
