Grew up in Cleveland Heights off S. Taylor & watched them building Severance Center, was in Mansion before knocking it down. It was nice back 60 years with stores going down S.Taylor. Born in 1953, it was a different world back then! Highlights were Coventry, Cain Park & Little Italy!!

I was born and raised here and I can honestly say it’s a nice place to raise a family. There’s no quick way getting to the Heights so that sucks as far as traffic. Also I’m a Cleveland Heights Alumni, plenty of opportunities to have a great school experience. No place like home

I moved to Cleveland in the early 80’s … lived in Cleveland Heights off Taylor Rd on Desoto for awhile beautiful area right down the street from Severance Mall…very nice especially the Coventry area where they had there shops , restaurants, their annual street fairs etc; big beautiful brick homes a nice peaceful area back then …I’m sure it’s not that way now …

I love Cleveland Heights, and it's why my wife and I decided to stay. The condos in the old buildings are so cool, most built in the 1920s or earlier and probably updated. We can go down to one car and still be able to walk most places we need to get to if needed and to Little Italy + the museums by Case. I would say being west of Coventry is the better situation, but generally the area is great. North of Mayfield Rd I would rather not buy a house in. Is it like Lakewood? eh I don't think so, but that's mainly because you can still find houses in the Heights for 200k, whereas Lakewood everything that even comes up for sale is 300k+ at the lowest. You get more here in terms of proximity, also it has RTA access.

This comment perfectly exemplifies the opinion of the entire white boomer mentality. But the reality is terrifyingly bad school system, scary “diversity”, insanely high taxes for ZERO services (I hear they finally let you have trash cans now), proximity to nowhere, ZERO highway access, and so on. When the remaining boomers pass on, it will be overrun by the other 60% of the population and fall into EC levels of scary.

Besides the taxes, lack of Quick freeway access sucks on that side of town. Bedford, Garfield, Maple has the best access but the neighborhoods have definitely gone down Over the years.

I agree, I like their location a lot but that’s where all the investors go to buy up properties. A lot of non owner occupied homes there. Do you think it’s gotten worse over the last few years??
@ShesRondaMarie2 жыл бұрын
@@livinginnortheastohio8643 yes it has. I’m surrounded by rental properties ran by landlords who don’t check on their properties. All you hear are sirens rather police or EMS.

I want to move to Cleveland Heights, but being on a fixed income, taxes are way to high. Here in Alaska when you turn 65, your taxes are reduced the first 150,000. My home is worth a lot more, but I’m think $500.

Hi, thinking of moving to the Cleveland area to work at Rainbow Babies and Children's. What is the Safest area that would be a 45 minute or less commute in to work? I don't want to be in a dense area, more spread out. How is the traffic during the week getting into cleavland?
@livinginnortheastohio86432 жыл бұрын
With a 45 minute commute, you could pretty much love anywhere in the Cleveland area. If you’re looking for a more spread out area, then you’ll want to be in the suburbs surrounding Cleveland. Compared to a lot of other bigger cities, the traffic is not to bad here unless there’s construction! Give me a call if you have more questions (: 330-520-3322

Hi Sharene, thats funny haha only a short drive away from you too! This is common for a lot of people in Cleveland, there's no need to go to the other side of town. Im constantly going back and forth.

If you have a family, CH is the WORST place you can live on the east side. If you want your property to appreciate, CH is not where you want to buy. Are you a college student or a resident in one of the many massive hospital systems? If so, rent a house and then move literally anywhere else in NE OH when you can afford it.
@livinginnortheastohio86433 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I'm sure you have your reasons why you dont like CH, I'm sorry to hear that...😕 As far as home prices, since 2020, home prices have appreciated 35.8%. That's just a little over 7% appreciation each year which is great.

The condition of the roads there are appalling. Terrible school system. So why such high property tax? I will tell you why. You as tax paying residents are paying to house and feed nontaxpaying, lazy blacks.
