Both are suburbs of Charlotte. As a native of Rock Hill I can't wait to get out since it's not the small town where I grew up. Both towns are basically made up of people from other areas that are simply here until they move to the next place. I guess they'll say the same thing about me when I move to New Mexico.

Fort Mill has great schools but Rock Hill is definitely turning around with a great downtown scene. Not sure about Rock Hill schools but York county generally has great schools.

Stay away from Rock Hill . Fort Mill is the way to go . Rock Hill Schools are terrible vs Fort Mill are top state best schools. I can say so much but FM is just better.

Honestly they are only about 5-10 minutes apart. most of the time there is no traffic going back n forth from fort mill to rock hill on 77. you hit traffic on 77 the closer u get to charlotte. To me it comes down to, MOST of the better houses in rock hill are mostly on the outskirts while in fort mill there are more of the better houses near civilization.
