Most of these videos don’t talk about the financial aspect of moving abroad. I spent 3 weeks in Ghana and even whilst living with family, it was expensive. Accra is one of the most expensive cities in the world. Ghana is an amazing country but I haven’t found many videos where people talk about how they afford to live there, especially people who say they just decided and moved. Did they find a role there? Run a business? Live off savings etc. It would make things more informative.

After growing up in abject poverty in Jamaica, and moving to the States when I was 16 I am good here, I have never had a longing to go live in Africa, I have an uncle who moved to Ethiopia, but as a High Priestess of the dead, I was given my next assignment when I finally make my transition here. I was told I would be sent back to the continent and it's a country on the continent I can really see living my next incarnation. Btw it's not Ghana it's not even in West Africa. I was told to stop speaking about my next incarnation, so sorry I can't mention the country. Nice for them finding peace on the continent, I believe with America you have to live here, but learn to detach from the drama and fuckery that quite frankly exist everywhere, on this planet, no single place is perfect not anywhere where humans have stepped foot. And of course black magic comes in handy for when you are faced with things like racism and injustice. You can extract your retribution there haven't failed me yet.

Unfortunately, this is a softball piece and does not fully address the greater context. I would like to hear more about how these folks are sustaining themselves beyond "their dreams". Things are tough in Ghana for the average person, let alone these three folks who are visitors for the most part. Ask them about where they live specifically, how do they survive each day and who is paying the bills....and then u may be getting somewhere to give the tubers greater insight. All 3 seem to have a past connection or contact there which is fairly typical....they didn't just throw a dart at a map and come up with Ghana. Another question would be "what do they miss most about where they came from? Did they renounce their citizenship? How long are their visas for and do they have to report to a government agency regarding their emmigration status? Yes, Ghana is beautiful but there are many hidden problems regarding conditions on the ground and lack of infrastructure. The "year of the return" was a successful political/financial stunt but did not seriously address the conditions on the ground for the average Ghanian and the fact that many Ghanaians still live like slaves in their own country to a class of Ghanaian slave masters. Thanks RB
