I was born and raised in Hayward, CA., I had moved out since 1998 and I liked certain places as well as people that I had known, but I had to move away and I don't believe that I will ever return there, but it was a nice place to live.

Your videos are really great! You’re very fair in the way you discuss both the positives and negatives of each city and I love the little interesting facts you throw in. P.s fix that typo on the #3 best things (Housing). Sorry, I’m a retired executive assistant and I can’t help but notice. Don’t worry, you’re still awesome!

My son has an internship in Foster City. He will be staying at the college in Hayward (California State University East Bay). My question…is it safe in that area? Should I be concerned about gangs? Please let me know…I’m very nervous about California. I hear so scary things. My son is coming from Boston.

Great video but I semi disagree about the nightlight. Prior to the pandemic, the downtown area is pretty robust for a suburb. Great local bars such as Buffalo Bills, The Bistro, Dirtybird lounge, pool hall (closed now due to a fire), High Scores arcade (sadly closed now). The Century Theater needs a remodel but it’s close by and many restaurants have outdoor seating. If you like Italian, Sushi, Chinese, Afghan and Mexican - the DT area is pretty decent IMO

Transportation Rail - Hayward is also served by Amtrak Bus - Hayward BART also serves Greyhound And lastly, and my most favorite - Hayward is home to the Hayward Executive Airport. Home to: News Media, Flight Schools, numerous business/corporate/private jets, and is home to: The Parks PD, and the FBI. I wonder what % jobs are at the airport? If you would like to visit the airport let me know. Just call California Airways and ask to speak to the chief pilot, or reply to this message Hayward also has 2 Costcos =)

Your reply will be highly appreciated . Thanks .

Hello, Hanna!! My knowledge of SanJose is somewhat limited. I know a lot more about San Francisco. Transportation wise, SF will be far superior if you don’t have a car. The level of safety will depend on what area you are in in each city. Thanks for watching and commenting.
