I have also found the RV community to in general be the most accepting and caring community I have ever encountered. I often wonder why that is. People who use their brains solely to make money lose the value of fellow humans and become selfish to the point that they themselves won't be aware of it. Now how can a person over 70, living off of $1200/mo SSI, happily living out of his vehicle and in a very minimalist way, not inspire others like myself to begin my minimalist life?? What an amazing spiritual man he is! I'm 57, and just began saving for my minimalist life out of my car, and hope to make the transition in a couple of months, and I'm scared of such a major change. But Don has given me such hope and encouragement to know that it will be overall fantastic, and I will learn so much. This human is a yogi. It took one sentence in a book to help him realize he was enlightened and needed further training. He trusted and followed his gut. From that moment on, his spiritual journey began. I spent years ignoring my gut and then one day, simply followed the call. He is much braver than I answering the call with “so much to lose.” The fact he is a yogi is clearly evident during the interview. It is almost comical once you understand the cues of someone living this way. There are others like him, in fact many. They make soup in the street, clean homes, and yes, wash windows. So be careful how you treat others, you never know who you are talking to. Bless you brother. Namaste.

We are more than happy living in a van as well. The hard part is how others look at us and look down on us :( they treat us like homeless…

Don does.indeed.have freedom and a peace.that is so often missing in the lives of folks caught up in the rat race of pursuing things that ultimately do not add joy to their lives.
