hey aika! jennie’s hair looks amazing but it is definitely achieved using a curling wand/iron! normally you wouldn’t be able to achieve such voluminous/big curl definition using perms only, they normally fix it with a curling iron as well! if you want your curl to look better and voluminous, do use a curl cream before you blow dry your hair and it will look really big. if you let it air dry naturally it will have the beachy loose waves.

Actually Korean perm and Japanese perm are slightly different. If you compare the salons in general, in Japan they usually go for kinda wet look they also use a lot of gel while in Korea they are more airy ig and more natural I think? So it is not only about curling iron but also about the style
