Round Rock has higher crime, because crime rates increase to the south and east of the greater Austin area Round Rock is flat pastures, while Leander is much nicer hill country cross timbers . The geography shifts dramatically as you go west of I 35 After researching, the nature and crime had us picking Leander hands down and moving there in March 23

Me and my Family are moving here in a couple weeks and we're trying to figure out which to pick. I'm more into schools because of my kids at this point. I want to rent for a year before I buy my forever home at this point as well. I'm a Veteran and I'm familiar with the area and we're coming from Germany to Texas. The locations I am currently looking at are Leander, Round Rock, Hutto, Pflugerville, and Manor. I want to rent a home or apartment. And can someone please let me know which school have a great basketball program along with educational benefits. Thank you
