Lewisville is one of those AMAZING Dallas suburbs that you don’t want to miss out on! Affordable living and a great historic downtown area are some of the big pros in this area that makes Lewisville, Texas one of the greatest spots to move right now, especially with Dallas house prices rising.
First off, downtown Lewisville is full of amazing bars, restaurants, wineries, and things to do. It’s got great coffee and food, so you really don’t have to travel far to enjoy a night out. Not only that, but the housing here is absolutely fantastic! You’ll find very affordable homes between $300,000 and $600,000 for the most part, and the square footage is great in most of the areas you’ll find homes available. There are new constructions that are available, which is especially helpful, given the fact that homes in the Dallas area are going fast, and new constructions are basically first come, first serve (so no bidding wars!). You also have some beautiful historical homes in the area that are close to downtown and are full of that classic character than many people enjoy in a historical home.
Whatever you’re looking for, Lewisville has it all! It’s even close to the Lewisville Lake, so you can take advantage of the lake life for most of the year without having to drive too far. Lived in Lewisville my entire life and it’s really coming up fairly quickly! With all of the new parks, trails and revitalization of old town, Lewisville is going to be a great place to live especially with a lot of the new mixed use development being built! To my surprise growing up, Lewisville really has a unique charm that attracts the film industry🎬 because you’d think that the more luxurious places like Frisco and Plano would be on tv more, but Lewisville is really the only suburb that I see based on the shows filmed in dfw! There’s even a really popular show on Freeform that filmed quite a bit in Lewisville recently

I live in Lewisville. A friend from Wisconsin I met here, said she and her husband specifically chose Lewisville, because it had a planned downtown area, that hasn't been abandoned. Many newer areas don't have that. She likes the free concerts in the Wayne Ferguson Plaza all summer, and Western Days Festival. Lewisville has a goal to make green space accessible within a ten minute walk to everyone. We chose Lewisville, because the property taxes are the lowest in the area!! With everything in Texas being a drive, Lewisville is in the middle of everything. We can reach 3 malls in 15 minutes or less, there are shopping centers everywhere, and there are distinctive areas of Lewisville, where there's almost a different flavor. There's a shopping center near us where almost everything is in Spanish: Grocery store, dentist, restaurants, insurance, etc. There's also a passenger train that runs through Lewisville, connecting many of the Dallas suburbs. Of all the other nearby towns, Lewisville hasn't become too gentrified. Homes are still affordable, and there are many apartments and condos. I happen to live in what I affectionately call the "armpit of Lewisville," just off 121 business. There are some run-down places that detract from the area, (check cashing, pawn, liquor store,) but they don't detract enough that I don't love my home. Eventually some developer will buy them out, and gentrification will start.

As somebody who grew up here, the schools have gotten a lot better then they were. They are very athletic based with football being a huge deal. There are a lot of great athletic programs.

Dear levi i have enjoyed your vlogs. there is a new home at 3737 madame caraway in lewsville.builders are american legend.it is a new construction un castle hill,lewsville north pointe. it is 2600 sqft.will be ready i believe oct 2022. i am a seniour citizen trying to move closer to my son who is moving to colony tx soon. the price they are asking is 689000$. can you guide me in this decision.the reason the price is low is because the house is close to a large road behind the wall of this house so it has lot of traffic noise.pl advice

I'm asking for a friend, what would you say is a good salary for living in Lewisville? My friend wants to start over and is a very simple soul, she doesn't need a large house or fancy clothes, etc. A job she's considering applying for pays roughly $32k annually. Think that would be enough for her?

Sorry, but there was nothing that was ever appealing about Lewisville or North Texas for that matter. It's flat, featureless, the weather is awful year-round, and it's nothing but apartments and stores. All of the cities in North Texas look pretty much like that. I don't get what people are seeing in the area. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess.
