• Ghana Is Not Looking B... -~-
Hello, welcome to the channel where we spotlight the potential of different Africa countries and look at opportunities, challenges and solutions.
In this video I take you from here to the administrative district of Lome Togo and head over to the other side of the capital city. I understand someone in the audience is probably wondering which city is better for them between Lome and Cotonou. In this video I am going to answer some of those thoughts in the best way possible.
Having gone around both cities, Lomé appears to have a more developed infrastructure than Cotonou, with more roads and more public transportation options. This can be an advantage for businesses that require reliable and efficient transportation and communication systems. However, Cotonou is cleaner and is generally considered to be more advanced. Cotonou has a more diversified economy with a stronger focus on agriculture and related industries, while Lomé has a larger financial services sector.

Lome, Togo, ehn, not bad at all. It is very impressive looking, and with abundant greeneries to make it eco friendly. I am very impressed with the general ambiance and the layout. I wonder what the rest of the country looks like, it'll be nice to see clips of the other areas of Togo where the everyday people lives to get a good flavor of the country and its people.

THANK YOU, Merci beaucoup 🎉😊…Looking forward to your next one!! By the way, I LOVED your recent real estate vid on Cotonou (near the new airport)! I can see myself there oo (or Calavi-Abomey or Ouidah)!!

Thank you. Yes I have a video on education coming. Togo is currently investigating so much in Education. Calavi is an extension of Cotonou with so many development ongoing and upcoming. It's great place for land development and banking.

@@ibkvlog6854 hum ! is this a problem ? This territory division doesn't really matter . There is no empty Space beteewn Calavi and Cotonou , no bush They were together in the same department before and though they are in different department Today,they are like a unique city. Can you distinguish the real border beteewn Calavi and Cotonou if you are a foreigner? Even some native residents Can't.

The govt can at anytime remove the now invisible boundary. What's important is development in Cotonou has now extended into Calavi and will continue
@saturninazangon2123
@saturninazangon2123 Жыл бұрын
@@ibkvlog6854 the Word extension is not wrong in this context . You have to know that if Calavi or sème are what they are today it is because they are adjacent to Cotonou . So they are developing thanks to Cotonou . Because Cotonou has no availlable Space to accomodate some big projects , those projects are being transfered to Calavi or in others surrounding zone. For instance dantokpa market is moved to Calavi, a New administrative zone is under construction in Calavi, the biggest hospital is under construction in Calavi , the econonic zone etc.. . In the north of benin republic even If they are going to the city of bohicon which is 125km From Cotonou they use to say they are going to Cotonou. So the influence of Cotonou is extended to its surroundings

@@ibkvlog6854 you are not wrong but know that in every country the econonic capital is well provided with specific infrastructures and when space saturation obliges governors to extend projects to others parts, so as to broaden the econonic environment to attract more investors, the surburbs are thus the great beneficiaries . But president Patrice TALON is an excellent and exceptionnal president Bénin republic has ever known . He tries contrary to his predecessors to respect a regional equilibrum in infrastructure realisation that is why you can see a lot of projects ongoing in different regions of the country.

You have been 95 % fair in your commentary. But you would have selected the most verdant and beautiful boulevard of Cotonou. Though you don't, Cotonou seems to be the better and will definitely be at top in years to come . The government will launch in a few weeks a gigantic road construction and touristic project combined to the rainy sanitation project that is ongoing in the city

I'm from Benin and I;ve lived in both cities. Lome is green in all aspect of the city. It's been a culture adopted by the city for decades. Cotonou just started in some area and has ways to go. Lome also has a better city planning despite the fact that most of the city infrastructure was built in the 1980s. Don't forget that Lome is building a new downtown in Lome2.
@kossikay6251

Stop your nonsense already. Everywhere they post a video about Lomé, you always want to throw shade on it. You’re talking about future projects in Cotonou, but we’re in the present. In transportation sector, Cotonou lag behind Lomé. Go check the datas about the airport and the port of Lomé. Lomé too is developing a second downtown which will make Lomé a unique city in Africa if not in the world. Projects Cotonou is implementing now was already effective in Lomé in the 80s.

@@kossikay6251 🤣🤣🤣🤣wacky. Cotonou is better than Lomé you may die , avantan. What projects have you implimented in 80s and we begin Today ? Can you be clear and cite them ? Cotonou is more built, cleaner , richer, and more developed than Lomé you may burn avantan

@@kossikay6251 Togo is lagging behind Bénin republic. Bénin republic is the father of Togo full stop. When you only focus on transport, is the only one factor determinant for econonic growth ? What about agriculture, industry, economy , IDH indice de développement humain ? Bénin republic GDP is 2, 5 times higher than the one of Togo. So Bénin is ahead of Togo generally shut your mouth.

What do you mean Lome has a small population compared to Cotonou? That's a big lie cross check your saying, Lomé population in 2023 is almost 2 millions citizen, Cotonou is no where near 1 million people

Disregard the outdated and incorrect figure very visible online. On Wikipedia French it has been updated to 2.5 million population in Cotonou total urban area. Lome total urban area is about 1.8 while within the main Lome only is about 800k.

He would have selected the The boulevard de la Marina which is full of green Space
