I live in St. paul instead. I like it better over here. And it’s easy to just go over to Minneapolis whenever I want to also

Lived in mpls 5 years and moved out once it got destroyed... I heard it hasn't made much of a comeback yet so I'd have to agree with you now a days sadly 😅

I lived in North Minneapolis for over 25 years. It's my home and as much as I love it and have created many memories there, you do have to watch your back for crimes and the police there rarely ever do their jobs. There are a lot of amazing people there, but I would also highly suggest people to be aware of their surroundings lol.

When I retired I moved to one mile southeast of downtown. Haven't experienced a major crime since moving to this location nine and one half years ago. Initially moved to Dinkytown 37 years ago. Love the University of Minnesota community. Parking is a major challenge in Dinkytown. Got rid of my car 37 years ago and done well getting around by way of MTC bus system and the Light Rail.I'm a tall man and don't feel threatened walking around Minneapolis in the daytime. When I recommend the bus system and or the lLight Rail to women they're reasonably worried about safety when using mass transit. Have walked more than 1,750 miles around Minneapolis this year. I love this city.

I have been watching your videos for a while now & you make me love MN each time. I am in Georgia & ready to move to MN but I have been having a hard time convincing my mother in law. Any pros I can hit her with to convince her not to let the winters scare her & the benefits for seniors to move to this state.

Minnesota is the hottest club and winter is our bouncer. Your question has a lot of nuance, so you should do your own research using the information only you know about yourself and your MIL

FYI: It’s a lot different now since the pandemic and the riots then it use to be. Also, our housing market and rent are high. Our gas is over $3.00 right now, our schools have budget cuts going on. I would do your research first. There’s a lot of good but also a lot of not so good that’s not being mentioned.

MN is far-left communist, anti-White and the non-White immigration is non-stop. It's not what it used to be, the metro especially, but St. Cloud is going the way of the metro too.

The discrepancy on google is that there is a Near North neighborhood within the Near North community (like how there's Longfellow neighborhood inside the Longfellow community)
@ToTheTwinCities26 күн бұрын
Definitely! The weird thing about Near North is just that I can get both Longfellow outlines to show up on google maps, but cannot figure out how to get the boundary line of the Near North "community" to appear on google maps for the sake of this video :). Appreciate the comment!
