This video brings me back to when I was living out of my car on a never ending road trip, I'm pretty sure I spent a couple hundred dollars on ice, i had the same problem with always needing ice, getting by for a bit on dried food like instant oatmeal, rice, raisins, nuts, and some veggies and fruits do last a while with out refrigeration, like garlic (which can be used to flavor rice); apples can last a while, oranges can last a while; onions last a long time; melons last a long time uncut.

Okay I thought I'd share some of my experiences, the first is I dumped my cooler for a fridge. I got the Acopower model, it comes with it's own battery. I then bought the Jackery 1000 solar gen. No more ice ever. Since then I added a 3qt instant pot pressure cooker with a 2000watt pure sine inverter. Fresh cooked meals, anytime. I boil water in my instant pot when my 300w collapsible water pot needed replaced. I bought the Jackery on sale and they threw in two 100w foldable solar panels. I can keep it charged while driving plugging into the cigarette lighter plug, the solar panels out side when parked at a camp site, or in the front window as a sun shade/solar charging. The fridge stays cold day and night. I even plug the fridge to the other 12v dc port and that charges the internal battery plus runs the compressor to keep every thing cold. If you learn to cook with the instant pot, lots of camping with it on youtube, you'll be kicking yourself for not doing it sooner. Sorry this was so wordy but when I like to share a working idea, I get carried away. If you have any question, hit me up, I'll be glad to share. Take care and stay safe.

It’s a drag. 14=days in and so much gross trash. So far I put my restroom trash in a dry bag and hook it to my roof rack. And just let it hang. But my entire car is trash bags when I leave. 😖. And ice every 2 days. Takes a lot of gas going back and forth.😢😢😢. Lol, there’s a solution somewhere. Let us know. peace
