2 minutes in and it looks like the state park in Panama City Beach. 9 minutes in… definitely apalachicola

Yeap, the ocean will back stab you and turn against you on a dime. I am glad you are having a healthy sense of caution. Thanks for the field trip. 😊❤ PS, that area used to be my stomping ground years ago. (The land that time forgot)❤ (Have you heard of a Doppler Radar in the weather channel? They are pretty good when predicting the weather.) just saying...😊

Love the video. As soon as you turned at the lighthouse, I knew you were headed to one of my favorite spots. Kind of appreciate that you didn’t name it 😂 But why didn’t you just drive your truck down to the beach access/bath house things! You could have chilled there all evening and the breeze off the water keeps the mosquitos at bay. Remember that next time! Subscribed!

Hey Matt, I just happened to see an ad on Facebook marketplace place and thought of you. It is an SUV fly that fit over an SUV and hooks under the rear wheel wells and anchors to the ground with plenty of room for an open hatch. I can’t find the ad again but after see this video last evening that ad looked like something that might allow you outside in buggy or rainy weather. Take care and safe travels!

THANK YOU! Yeah I was looking around too and something like this seems like a great option. I'll probably end up getting something like this as the trip progresses and I get more tired of having bugs in the car hahaha

Great video! Anytime I have gone to Florida, it has been January and February, I am not a fan of heat and humidity! The beaches look great, to bad the water was so rough. The primitive campsites looked great, number 2 would be my choice too. The ant hill could not have been to pleasant. Your last town was definitely the high rent district looking at the houses and cars, the beach was too crowded for me. Looking forward to your next video!

Camping in Florida during the summer months? That's like camping on the North Pole during the winter. lol Dec/Jan/Feb a better time frame.

I don't know if you went there but both Destin in Florida and Blue Mountain Beach near there are my choices for the best beaches in Florida. Blue Mountain Beach in particular is just the prettiest blue water with that smooth white sand. Also, you should check into a swamp cooler to keep you cool when you sleep in your car. There are other obscenely expensive actual air conditioning units but the swamp coolers will do in a pinch.

Looks like the trip has been going well, and you've been able to get some sweet adventures in along the way. Continued safe travels!! One of the portable A/C's might be a good plan. The desert has gotten pretty warm already. As you head west the humidity is nothing, but the temps have been higher than average. Need to be able to get some good sleep to keep driving.
@MattMaderic7 ай бұрын
Yeah I definitely found that out as I kept going. Without the humidity it isn't too bad, but I've had a day up to 106º and that one was tough. Thanks for the heads up!

Killer primitive beach camp sites and talk about vibes at the last beach site was a downer with all those people. Me a B-Line outta there. Watching from Central Coastal California. Although I have Citronella, inside the Van I use my E-Bug swatter or stove BIC lighter RIP LOL. Stay SAFE💪😎

The white sand isn't found all over Florida. I believe the truly white sand is seen only on the panhandle. You also find the "sugar" sand on the Alabama Gulf of Mexico coast.

Born & raised on the Atlantic in south FL (15 min N. of Ft. Lauderdale) we got brown sand. Sand on the West Coast of FL on the Gulf of Mexico ( Naples, Sarasota, Ft. Meyers Beach) they got the powdery white sand. That's the good stuff. I am so lucky with the mosquitoes...they hate my blood. Only time i get bit is in the Everglades...and i grew up west 5 miles from the everglades. Don't you have a smart phone with a weather app that has radar tells you exactly what's out there? You stepped on fire ants ....argh sux! take pants off & shake em. They are everywhere in FL. They hate citrus, so buy an orange, peel it & cut peel in small pieces spread them everywhere...the fire ants will move their home. You win without harming. Lol That beach was super crowded. Mine doesn't get that crowded. I ride my bike...its like 2 miles. Was writing this comment as i was watching. As shit happened. Lol. I am subscribed now. I follow a few guys that travel & live out of their camper, truck, van, etc...my kinda living. LIVE FULFILLED! I like that.
