Hello from Irkutsk, Russia! Here it's not a very common thing for people to live in a car, I guess mostly due to climatic reasons. Having said that, I'm really amused by how you've been managing it. Drinking is a bitch so you're doing a good job staying sober. Subscribed. Stay strong man

@@andrewbutler4260, Yeah we have a number of services like that. Although I think they're not as widely used as in the US, they've been getting more and more popular for the past decade or so. Yeah I'm curious how this channel ended up in my recommendations cause I wasn't really interested in car emm, residense, but I just like what Bren is doing and his personality

@@myev2421, I never said living in a car is very comfortable, but, you know, in Russia millions of people live without basic commodities like waste pipes and hot water. Their toilet is a hole in the ground which they have to squat over when it's -30 degrees Celsius. So yeah, living in a car is not a dream, but, as I've already said, I like what Bren's doing and his personality

Found your channel from searching "car camping in a Subaru Outback." I'm on my 3rd Outback and have driven one for most of my adult life. Right now, it's a race between whether or not I'll be in my car by choice or by necessity. The only thing holding me back from the choice part is caring for my elderly mother who lives with me. Otherwise, I'd throw the whole damned thing away and head off. If I failed at it, well, I'm also in need of downsizing my sticks and bricks arrangement. I love my mom and would never in a million years abandon that obligation, but sometimes I feel so flippin trapped. THANK YOU for your channel, for about 42 different reasons. Tossing you a few bucks because I am lucky enough to have a job that pays a little better than Door Dash. Bigger pay = Bigger Bills. To the point of overwhelming, which is escapable by hanging out on KZbin drinking. My Suby carries me around all day as an outpatient hospice nurse. It's funny because in my home town, I feel like I'm already an expert on where I would park and when. Spend 8-10 hours in my car every day as it is. Blathering on now, but really, you are helping people with your vids and I'm one of them.

I understand you feeling trapped. I also cared for my elderly mother while I was having my own health issues. I love her and like you would never abandon her but it is a mixed bag of feelings...I get it! After my mom passed i felt tormented by all the times I got impatient or exasperated. Grief can be a roller coaster. Bless you for being there for your mom. Your time will come to be free to drive off wherever. Keeping you in my prayers!
