Nepal is the most beautiful country in the world for me. I have fond memories of living there in Dharan with my parents (late now) and five other siblings. Reason being my dad was employed by British gurkha's in the British Military camp, working for the MoD. As a result my parents had to put us to boarding school in Calcutta (Kolkata now), the only time we came home was for Summer and Christmas holidays.I loved the quiet way of Nepali life and the warmhearted people, who open their homes and hearts to one. while growing up there,we even learned to speak the Nepali Language, I still miss living there and feel nostalgic too. in the distance we had this huge mountain which faced the quarters where we lived. It was a very strict way of army life..I still see videos like this and make do with it. most of my family have intermarried with Nepali people., My brother lives in Kathmandu and has a school there, my younger brother still lives in Dharan, and teaches in a school and has two kids

Life in Nepal is so hard. People here in our village are still living in aluminum earthquake shelters. We are trying to help, but it's hard to get the word out on the internet. It's like screaming in a crowd-lots of people but who can hear you? Here's one of our videos about our work project. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnjUkJqbeZWdeJo I think the best things a person can do are buying Nepali handcrafts and coming to Nepal as a tourist. Don't just send money to random orphanages or huge international agencies. Just, when you see something with 'made in Nepal' in the label buy it. There aren't sweatshops here that I can find.

beautiful. these people are perfectly content with their lives. poverty is an illusion it is a man made concept that means different things to different people. they have food and a roof over their heads. it's only when a westerner comes and shows them pictures of their lifestyle do they start to think that they are poor. these people get to wake up EVERDAY and see the GREAT HIMALAYA! ! now that's what I call being RICH!!

That is an illusion. How would you like to work 3 days to pay for a new pair of jeans. Look at those girls who couldn't afford something to go under their skirts and only a couple of kids had jackets. It doesn't matter how happy you are if you can't get warm. What to do? Buy fair trade products from Nepal. Don't just send money; support jobs, exporting and building the economy. But, yes, the Nepali people will capture your heart. We had a good family life, food to eat, clean place to live, sleep, and get clean, but today's world would say we were in poverty. I wish I was rich and would go there build some houses some public bath this beautiful woman they work so hard at the age of thirty the look old people need running water proper stove to cook they have to gather stick to make fire .once a year U go to forest and live permeative for two days is fun .That is your life is not .I hop they do not have movies to see how other half lived .Poverty is an illusion . indeed .were did you dig that .
